A recent study has explored whether acupuncture may play a supportive role for women experiencing challenges with ovarian reserve and fertility.
In this clinical trial, 120 participants were observed to assess whether acupuncture could influence the number of resting follicles in the ovaries. After 12 weeks, the group receiving acupuncture showed an increase in antral follicle count compared to the control group receiving a sham treatment. 🙌
Changes in hormone levels such as AMH and FSH were noted in both groups over time. However, the acupuncture group demonstrated a more sustained change in follicle count, which remained evident at a three-month follow-up.
It suggests acupuncture may play a supportive role in influencing certain markers of ovarian function for some individuals. ✨
Are we surprised? 😌
