With September being International Pain Awareness Month consumers can now access a community based pain management program to help them address their chronic pain.

The Pinnacles award-winning program is a 4-step model that provides support for people living with pain:

1️⃣ Free online learning – for patients referred by GPs or partner providers.
2️⃣ 1:1 sessions – up to 7 clinician-led consults with companion video content.
3️⃣ Comprehensive assessment & plan – tailored pain management, ideal for funded packages.
4️⃣ Ongoing support – via a growing national network of allied health partners.

🔍 Seeking Participants for Chronic Pain Research Survey

Researchers are inviting adults with chronic pain to take part in an online survey to explore their views about participating in an N-of-1 trial – a personalised study that helps test how well different chronic pain treatments work for each individual.

To take part, you must:
✅ Be aged 18 years or older
✅ Currently live in Australia
✅ Be experiencing persistent or chronic pain lasting 3 months or more

🕒 The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
🔒 Your answers are anonymous and can’t be linked back to you.
🚫 You will not be asked to try any treatments – this survey is just to gather your opinions.

🎁 After completing the survey, you’ll have the option to enter a prize draw to win one of four $50 Coles e-vouchers.

Are you a GP supporting clients living with chronic pain?

We’ve been humbled by the positive feedback and encouraged by the strong early adoption of the app we launched nearly two months ago. However, we know many people still lack access to the services and support they need.

To help address this, for just a $10 per month contribution to the ongoing costs of the app and materials, clinicians can now access our app and online program, “Pathways to Pain Management,” which is aligned with our award-winning multidisciplinary pain management program, and provide this to as many patients as they choose.

We hope this new program provides a cost-effective option for clinicians to complement the support they already provide to their patients.
