Natalie has 25 years experience as a physiotherapist. She was Director of Beaumaris Physiotherapy in Perth WA, addressing sporting injuries, back pain and musculoskeletal ailments. After developing a special interest in paediatrics and gait abnormalities Natalie founded Kidz Clinic Physiotherapy in Perth in 2008. This practice predominantly sees children and adolescents with hypermobility disorders, motor delays and coordination issues, abnormal walking and running styles, musculoskeletal conditions and sporting injuries. Natalie is also Director of Spiral Skins which designs flexible dynamic bracing garments for gait and postural abnormalities associated with hypermobility and connective tissue disorders, and some neurological conditions.
In 2011 Natalie won the ABC New Inventors Award for Medical Innovation for the Spiral Thigh Brace. A flexible compression garment with series of overlayed elasticized straps in directional lines of pull to limit excessive internal rotation at the hip and knee. These garments are used on children and adults as gait retraining/biofeedback tools.

Principles of management
Exercise. taping and stabilisation methods for hypermobile population
Physiotherapy management of dysfunctional gait patterns and abnormal running styles (eg tip toe walking, pigeon toe gait, knock knee gait and duck feet)
Principles of flexible dynamic bracing and its indications for use in hypermobility disorders and disorders affecting lower limb movement.
Use of Dynamic Bracing (compression) garments in gait retraining in children and adults
You will be provided with a take home manual of information, exercise prescription ideas, sample garment for your clinic. Come away with the ability to bring a whole new client base to your practice and new ideas for existing clients.
