Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) is a hidden disability, many people have never heard of it even though it affects 1 in 14 people.
This means in every classroom and playground there are likely children who find learning language much harder than expected.
DLD can make it difficult to understand language, follow instructions, tell stories, learn new words and keep up in conversations.
Over time this can impact learning, friendships and confidence.
With the right support children with DLD can thrive. Speech pathology helps build strong communication skills and supports success at school and home.
If you are concerned your child may have DLD or is finding language difficult, contact our team to book an assessment.
