Jo Kemp has recently been in cooler climes, presenting at Sportskongres in Copenhagen.

Jo presented the closing keynote talk, as well as a talk on hip pain in men and women, and another talk regarding journal publishing (in her role as editor of BJSM).

It was then off Lund University in Sweden where Jo presented a guest professorial lecture to their Faculty of Medicine.

The feels like temperature was apparently -17, makes a Ballarat Winter feel mild! ❄️

This week we celebrated another major milestone, with Lachie racking up 7 years with Team LHG!🎉

Lachie like many of the team, joined us as a fresh-faced new graduate. A favourite with our more mature clientele, Lachie’s empathetic personality as well as his calm and considered nature, make his clients feel extra special and important when being treated by him.

Lachie is a bit of a jack of all trades, doing home visits, GLA:D® classes and client visits. Congratulations and thanks for everything Lachie. Let’s hope there are many more years to come!

We are excited to welcome Sam Glover, Physiotherapist to Team Lake Health Group!🎉

Sam graduated with a Masters of Physiotherapy from La Trobe University. After multiple injuries playing sports, Sam’s passion for physiotherapy grew as he loves helping people reach their optimal level of health. He has a keen interest in lower limb and running injuries and has gained strong manual therapy skills working for various football and soccer teams in the past.

Sam is a GLA:D® certified practitioner, and has a passion for helping people with osteoarthritis. Sam believes that the combination of education and purposeful movement can really help to empower an individual to get the best outcome possible and help them take control of their ailments/injuries.

Sam currently plays football for North Ballarat after captaining Collingwood VFL for the last 2 years. He also loves going for walks around the local area with his wife and daughter and testing out the different coffee shops around town.

Sam starts with us on Tuesday 17th of February, appointments are now open with him to pre-book 👉 lakehealthgroup.com.au

This week we’re celebrating a significant milestone in Ryan’s 12-year anniversary with LHG!🎉

Like Nathan, Ryan joined us all those years ago as a new graduate, and is now an APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist. Known for delivering professional, cutting-edge care, Hobbsy, as he’s affectionately called, also brings plenty of laughs, always ready with a dad joke for clients and colleagues alike.

His dedication to both the profession and his patients makes him a popular choice for everyone from young to old, athlete or weekend warrior. Just as importantly, Ryan has been, and continues to be, an outstanding mentor and resource to other members of our team.

This week’s major milestone is the celebration of Nathan’s 8th year with LHG!🎉

Nathan commenced his journey as a new grad all those years ago and has now grown into a knowledgeable and respected team member. Nathan’s thirst for knowledge has seen him enrolled in his Masters of Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy which he is due to complete at the end of the year.

Nathan’s dry sense of humour and direct nature make him a favourite amongst his peers and patients alike. Here’s to many more years with the team Nathan. Thanks and well done.
