A tough season of life.

Another 500 club member this week!

Big shoutout to Mary, who’s been working with Kirsty for a long time now, both in small group studio sessions, as well as Gold Reformer classes

There’s sometimes a perception that Pilates is for the 20-somethings and the 30-somethings, and we love Mary strolling in every week, putting in the effort, and showing everyone how consistency and effort pay off, whatever you’re age!

Prob don’t actually make me SMILE, like Phoebe here, but I love how they can get the quads, the core and the shoulders ALL to feel like they’re working.

An awesome exercise in our postnatal classes, and a great one for our perimenopause crew too.

How would we progress an exercise like this?

Often, lighter springs = harder work!

PROTEIN - it’s been a buzz word in the studio recently.

And it’s a little scary to hear how many of us, are missing out on adequate levels of protein each day.

Our bodies desperately need protein to help with

✨ Muscle repair

✨ Strength Gains

✨ Aid metabolism

✨ Bone health

And

✨ Feeling fuller.

Most of us will need around 1g of protein per kg of body weight, but if you’re in the perimenopausal zone, you’ll likely need to up that number a bit!
