bodyBEgood is a Pilates & Physiotherapy studio in central Ballarat. We offer Physio services, individual Pilates sessions, and group Pilates classes, using Pilates Reformers and other equipment. All classes are fun, challenging, easy to access, and will help your BODY BE GOOD.

Coughing a lot lately? Here’s what your Pelvic Floor wants you to know…

1. Support yourself when you cough. A quick lift of your pelvic floor BEFORE the cough can make a huge difference.

2. Keep your fluids up. Your bladder will be happier.

3. Correct Pelvic Floor Exercises - specific to your body and your weakness/activation.

4. Relaxation. No pelvic floor should be ‘on’ all day!

Half day and full day options available for our consulting rooms.

Yes - we are *still* looking for a warm, friendly, passionate Pilates-trained physio to join our bodyBEgood team!

Our Clinical classes, and our pre & Postnatal classes are almost fully booked, and whilst that is a lovely problem to have… we would really, really love to be able to help MORE people in Ballarat to move better and feel better!

As a female-founded, female-centric team, we deeply value a healthy work-life balance, and we would love to welcome a new Physio team member, in a part time capacity, in a role that compliments their lifestyle.

Pilates experience is a must, and preferably (but not essential) is also pre and postnatal training in the Pilates field.

Our clientele are absolute legends, and it is honestly a joy to get to work with these people week in, week out, to help them overcome injuries and aches and pains, and build healthier, stronger bodies.

Our studio is a lovely, welcoming space, and our Pilates and admin team are such an awesome crew to be amongst.

If you’re thinking your belly doesn’t feel the way that it did 10 years ago…

You’re not imagining it.

As we head into our 40s, hormonal changes (especially the mass exodus of oestrogen from our system 😵‍💫), causes shift in how our muscles, and our connective tissues behave.

You might notice a softer, stretchier belly, fatty tissue appearing where it hasn’t been before 😳, feelings of ‘disconnection’, or even tension through your lower back and pelvic floor.

But this doesn’t mean your body is ‘failing!’.

It’s just changing.

And with the right kind of movement and nourishment, you can support it beautifully 🤩.

Instead of restrictive diets and manic sit-ups, try:

✨ Learning how to connect to your deep abdominals

✨ Mastering slow, supportive breathing patterns

✨ Adding strength training / resistance work to your week

✨ Prioritising mobility in your hips and spine

✨ And being kind to yourself - your body is doing wonderful things to keep you going every day!

Your 40s (and 50s and 60s and beyond!) don’t need to be about punishment. They can be about care, awareness and STRENGTH.

And maybe save this post to come back to, when you need a little reminder that your body isn’t ‘broken’ - it’s just evolving ❤️
