This week marks COPD Week, an important opportunity to highlight the ongoing impact of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease on many Australians and to reinforce the value of proactive lung health.

The Australian National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP) offers low-dose CT scans designed to support earlier detection of lung cancer, when treatment options may be more effective.

Eligibility includes adults 50–70 years of age with a history of long-term smoking. If you or someone you know may meet these criteria, we encourage you to speak with your GP to learn more about the program and whether screening is appropriate.

Sovereign Radiology is an approved NLCSP provider, offering low-dose CT scans Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.30pm.
Appointments can be made by calling 03 4333 0333.

By raising awareness during COPD Week, we can help ensure more people access the information and support they need to protect their lung health

Another week, another grand final.

A huge shout out to the Lake Wendouree netball teams playing in the BFNL grand final this coming weekend.

Your presence in the grand final is a reflection of your hard work, dedication and grit over the entire season and we can’t wait to see you get up and get the win 🏆

Both games are played at City Oval (Redan) for anyone wanting to go along and support the girls.
Lake Wendouree E Grade Netball are playing at 10:15am, while the C Grade Ladies are playing at 12:30pm - both teams taking on Sunbury.

Good luck and well done to all players and teams involved in the various sporting grand finals this weekend.

An especially big shout out to the Bungaree C Grade Netball Team who will be taking on Hepburn in the CHFNL C Grade Grand Final this weekend.

We are so proud to have the opportunity to support the Bungaree Football Netball Club this year, and everyone at Sovereign Radiology has their fingers and toes crossed for the ladies to get the win🏆

If you want to get along to support the girls in their grand final endeavour, the game is at Mars Stadium this Saturday at 12:30pm.

Sovereign Radiology is proud to be involved in the National Lung Cancer Screening Program, now active across Australia.

This government-funded initiative uses low-dose CT scans to detect lung cancer early, before symptoms appear, when treatment is most effective.

You may be eligible for a bulk billed screening scan if you:
✔ Are aged between 50 and 70 years
✔ Have a history of long term smoking
✔ Do not have any current symptoms of lung cancer

Low-dose CT scans are quick, painless and easily accessible at each of our clinics in Wendouree, Lucas and Sebastopol.

Same-day appointments are also available, Monday to Friday between 8.30am - 5.30pm.

If you think you may be eligible, please speak to your GP to find out more and request a referral.

Together, we can detect lung cancer earlier and save lives.

Last weekend Sovereign Radiology's Alicia Wang-Sheludko (Radiologist), and Nic O'Brien (Referrer Support Manager) participated in the Ballarat Foundation's Dancing with our Stars Gala Night💃🌟
The event raised a whopping $186,000 - helping to surpass $1 million donated across the life of the event since it began back in 2019. The funds stay local - going directly to charities and support programs within our community.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported this event, and Alicia and Nic during their dancing journey.
