This week marks COPD Week, an important opportunity to highlight the ongoing impact of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease on many Australians and to reinforce the value of proactive lung health.
The Australian National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP) offers low-dose CT scans designed to support earlier detection of lung cancer, when treatment options may be more effective.
Eligibility includes adults 50β70 years of age with a history of long-term smoking. If you or someone you know may meet these criteria, we encourage you to speak with your GP to learn more about the program and whether screening is appropriate.
Sovereign Radiology is an approved NLCSP provider, offering low-dose CT scans Monday to Friday, 8.30amβ5.30pm.
Appointments can be made by calling 03 4333 0333.
By raising awareness during COPD Week, we can help ensure more people access the information and support they need to protect their lung health
The NLCSP is the first nationwide, targeted lung cancer screening initiative in Australia, aimed at reducing deaths through early detection in high-risk
