Vale - Alex Taylor
For those who have not heard the news, Alex passed away peacefully on Friday the 9th of April. He joins his late wife Frances, who he lost almost exactly 12 months ago.
Alex touched many lives, helping many individuals and generations of families in his over 50 years of health practice, and was highly regarded by all... patients and fellow practitioners alike.
Included with this post is a picture of him with some of his students from the early 1960's, when he taught at the Sydney College of Chiropractic... this is taken from the book compiling the history of the college and to which he contributed a large number of the photos.
I was privileged to work side by side with him for over 25 years and learnt much. More than that, he was a close friend and provided support and care to both myself and my family. As one of my most significant mentors, I shall miss his wisdom, insights and humour.
I'm sure many others also have fond memories and recollections of their time with him, you are welcome to share these in the comments section below if you feel inclined.
There are no funeral details available at the moment, but knowing the family values their privacy, I imagine that as with Frances' funeral arrangements that it may be restricted to immediate family only. I'll let you all know if I hear anything different.
Please know, that Alex valued all his patients and considered many of them good friends. He enjoyed his work in helping and healing others, so it is probably of no great surprise that he never quite fully retired.
My thoughts and condolences go to his family and close friends.
Rest in Peace Alex
