Bringing Gestalt & Play Therapy to Hamilton! 🌿
Hi everyone - I’m excited to share that I’ll now be practising from Little Spaces in Hamilton Victoria, offering Gestalt Therapy and Play Therapy for children, teens, and adults.

My approach is warm, creative, and relational - supporting people to explore their inner world, strengthen self-understanding, and feel a deeper sense of belonging.

Living rurally has so many joys - and some challenges too, like finding consistent support. To help with this, I’m in Hamilton once a month for in-person sessions at Little Spaces, and continue offering online sessions between visits so your care stays consistent and connected.

I also work with NDIS participants, helping families and individuals access the support they need in a flexible and tailored way.

Gestalt and Play Therapy invite curiosity, creativity, and genuine connection - supporting growth, confidence, and emotional wellbeing across all stages of life.

💌 Want to learn more or book a session? I’d love to hear from you!

🌅 When Mornings Feel Like a Marathon 🌅

For many families, the morning rush can feel less like a calm start to the day and more like running a race with no finish line. Shoes go missing, breakfast takes forever, emotions run high — and before 9am, you already feel like you’ve run out of energy.

For children with ADHD, mornings can be especially tough. Transitioning from sleep to school, keeping track of tasks, and navigating sensory overwhelm often makes even the simplest routine feel monumental.

But here’s the truth: these struggles aren’t about poor parenting — they’re about brains and bodies that work differently. And that difference deserves understanding, not judgment.

✨ Small shifts can help: turning routines into playful moments, building in extra time for transitions, and staying calm enough to co-regulate when big feelings take over.

You’re not alone in this. Kinder mornings are possible. With support, your family can move from survival mode to connection, finding moments of ease — even in the morning rush. 🌱

If you’re a parent of a child with ADHD, you probably know the morning routine struggles all too well. It’s 8am. Shoes are missing. Teeth aren’t brushed. Your child is bouncing from one task to another, melting down because the tag on their shirt is scratchy or their getting into a world of Leg...

🎭 Not all friendships are what they seem.

Sometimes, a close friend may subtly invalidate, dismiss, or overshadow you — leaving you feeling unseen.

If you’ve experienced this, it might be worth reflecting on whether you’ve been caught in a narcissistic friendship or one that doesn’t have your best interests at heart.

💔 Emotional betrayal hurts, but recognizing the signs is the first step toward healing.

Setting boundaries with those we care about can be difficult, especially with family members and those you care about. Feelings of guilt may start to surface.

Remember protecting your peace is a vital part of self-care and boundaries are important part of loving yourself.

✨Boundaries aren’t about rejection; they’re an expression of love for yourself and for the other person.

✨You have every right to prioritize your well-being.

✨ It’s okay to step back from relationships that disrupt your sense of peace.

✨One of the greatest joys of my work as a therapist is working alongside children and their families.

Kids are incredibly resilient, and it’s a privilege to witness their growth as they navigate challenges, big and small.

Every session is an opportunity for creativity, fun and discovery—together, we find new ways to address difficulties while celebrating their unique strengths.

How lucky was I to receive this thoughtful gift from one of my wonderful clients—a delicious cookie monster cake! YUMMO! 😀

“The only way out is through.”

We all face moments in life that challenge us—whether it's grief, betrayal, heartbreak, or unexpected changes. It’s completely natural to feel overwhelmed in these times.

💬 A gentle reminder:

✨Your feelings are real and worthy of attention.
✨ Your journey will unfold in its own time.
✨ You don’t have to navigate this alone.

Take things one step at a time. Small actions, over time, can create meaningful shifts.

A New Year, A Gentle Beginning ✨

As the new year approaches, it’s easy to feel the pressure of resolutions and self-improvement goals.

What if this year, the only resolution you made was to care for yourself with kindness and compassion?

You don’t need a checklist or a grand plan to grow. Simply taking the time to rest, reflect and nurture your well-being can be enough. Celebrate small wins, honour your boundaries and move at your own pace.

This year let’s focus on being present and embracing the person you already are. You’re worthy of love and care—just as you are. 💛

The holiday period can be a time of joy, connection and celebration—but it can also bring stress, feelings of loneliness, memories of loss, or the pressure to meet expectations.

Wherever this season finds you, remember to offer yourself the same kindness you so freely give to others.

Take a moment to breathe in the magic of small moments: the twinkle of lights, the laughter of loved ones, or the stillness of a quiet evening by yourself.

Your presence is the greatest gift of all.

Let’s make space for self-care, peace, hope & enter the new year together. 💛
