How does the AviClear laser treat acne?

Just like Cutera’s other laser (the ExcelV), the AviClear has a refrigerated metallic base that cools the skin. This is so when the laser goes through the refrigerated sapphire crystal glass, it doesn’t heat up the skin. It goes through the skin until it hits something that is oil-based (the Sebaceous Glands) and when the laser heats up the Sebaceous Gland it cooks the acne bacteria, killing them and damaging the apparatus of the Sebaceous Gland.

In the lead up to the long weekend we have increased appointment availability at both clinics for both new and returning patients this week with all of our team members (except Dr Andrew).

Appointments are allocated on a first come, first serve basis and the best way to secure your preferred time is online via our website (bit.ly/42sWSQu).

Please note that next Monday, March 2nd MIRA Clinic West Perth & MIRA Clinic Joondalup will be closed. Both clinics will re-open as usual on Tuesday, March 3rd.

If you’ve had any dermal therapy treatments at MIRA Clinic, chances are you’ve met Natalie, our Senior Dermal Therapist who’s been part of the team since late 2020. With over 10 years of experience in the industry, Nat brings deep expertise, precision, and genuine care to everything she does.

Originally starting part-time at Joondalup, Natalie now treats loyal clients across both clinics. Her continued success is a reflection of her thorough approach to our consultation process, skin assessments and her ability to truly listen and tailor treatment plans to each individual.

She’s qualified in all dermal treatments we offer, including Laser Skin Therapies, Dermal Needling, RF Needling, HydraFacials, and Tattoo Removal. Being a perfectionist, Nat delivers every treatment with a high level of clinical skill and attention to detail.

This is our Excel V Plus laser from .anz. The “V” stands for vascular or vessel (as in blood vessel) ⚡️

This laser has a few different hand pieces that are all excellent at reducing those red spots we can get on our skin. Particularly with photo damage and ageing.

Jorja () is one of our experienced and dedicated skin rejuvenation team members. She has been with MIRA Clinic for over 3 years and has recently completed her nursing degree and become a Registered Nurse.

In 2026, Jorja will continue her advanced clinical training with to expand her practice to include the administration of medications that have been prescribed by Dr Clark. Of course, Jorja will continue to offer all advanced dermal and laser services to her clients as well.
