Kate came to see us with concerns about the condition of her upper teeth and was interested in improving both their health and overall appearance.

Following a comprehensive clinical assessment, a number of concerns were identified, including tooth wear, crowding and changes in her bite.

After discussing the available options, Kate proceeded with a personalised treatment plan that included six upper veneers and bridgework to replace missing back teeth.

Kate's treatment was planned around her individual clinical presentation, with a focus on restoring function and supporting long-term oral health.

Eating had become difficult due to discomfort and functional limitations for this patient. She was missing her three lower front teeth, along with several posterior (back) molars, and was managing active gum disease.

After assessment, Dr. Laine recommended an upper and lower All-On-4 treatment approach. This is a full-arch restorative solution designed to bring back function and support long-term stability.

Following treatment, her ability to eat and smile improved significantly, and ongoing care now focuses on maintaining healthy function over time.

This was the result of a comprehensive treatment approach with clear planning and ongoing support.

Just because pain settles in the short term doesn’t always mean the underlying issue has been resolved. Teeth can shift or move over time, placing additional load on surrounding teeth and supporting structures, which can lead to wear, changes in bite alignment, or alterations in appearance.

Restorations such as bridges and other treatments can function well for many years, however their longevity depends on the stability of the supporting teeth and surrounding structures. All dental treatment involves careful planning and ongoing review because outcomes can change over time.

Kate presented with concerns about the condition and appearance of her upper teeth, as well as longstanding dental anxiety following a difficult experience elsewhere many years ago.

Over time, she had noticed progressive changes to her teeth and felt increasingly unhappy with how they looked. Clinical assessment identified tooth wear, crowding, bite changes and missing teeth.

After a detailed consultation, she proceeded with a tailored treatment plan including six upper veneers and implant-supported bridgework. Her treatment was carefully planned to address her clinical presentation and provide appropriate support throughout each stage of care.

Waiting until dental problems become urgent can sometimes lead to bigger issues over time.

Some treatments resolve immediate pain, however without long term planning the underlying functional concerns may continue to develop.

A painful tooth may be removed, but neighbouring teeth can begin to shift, overload or break due to increased stress.

A pontic bridge may restore appearance and function initially, but if the supporting teeth fail later, the overall outcome can be compromised.

Many of these situations are preventable with comprehensive assessment and thoughtful, long-term treatment planning.

With eating becoming increasingly difficult, Leanne decided to seek advice about long-standing dental concerns. She had been managing advanced gum disease for many years, which had resulted in bone loss, infections and missing teeth.

After spending considerable time researching her options, Leanne attended a consultation with our team to discuss suitable treatment pathways. Following a comprehensive clinical assessment and discussion of alternatives, she proceeded with upper and lower All-On-4 (full arch implant-supported) treatment.

Treatment outcomes vary between individuals. A thorough assessment is required to determine suitability for implant treatment.
