The True Essence of Yoga – A Journey to the Divine Within 🌿

Yoga is far more than just physical postures or a means to stay fit — it is a sacred path of self-discovery and divine connection. The word *Yoga* itself comes from the Sanskrit root *“Yuj”*, meaning *to unite or to join*. It signifies the union of the individual self (*Atman*) with the universal consciousness (*Paramatman*).

In our modern world, yoga is often seen only through the lens of flexibility, strength, or mindfulness. But its true purpose runs much deeper — it is the art of aligning body, mind, and soul. Through this alignment, we awaken to the realization that the divine we seek outside already resides within us.

When we practice yoga with awareness — combining breath, intention, and stillness — we begin to transcend the layers of illusion (*Maya*). We experience moments of complete silence where the mind dissolves, and what remains is pure consciousness — blissful, eternal, and divine.

This is the ultimate goal of yoga — **self-realization**. To know who we truly are beyond our thoughts, emotions, and identities. To live in harmony with nature, others, and most importantly, our inner self.

True yoga happens not on the mat, but in the stillness of our being — in how we live, think, and connect with every living soul.

So, let every breath, every pose, and every meditation become an offering to the divine presence within you. Because when you connect with your true self, you connect with the universe itself. 🌺

It was my honour to be invited as a key note speaker on Mental Health and meditaion at the 10th Ayurveda Day Expo & Conference, celebrated by the Australasian Association of Ayurveda with the support of CGI Sydney and the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.

It was a privilege to share insights on the importance of holistic approaches to mental health and how the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda continues to guide us in creating balance, resilience, and overall well-being in today’s fast-paced world.

Heartfelt gratitude to the organisers and and all participants who are working tirelessly to spread awareness and integrate Ayurveda for the benefit of people and the planet. 🌿✨
