A very interesting study.
"Salt, seems to be driving the excessive consumption of fat, calories and food... likely because people perceive salt so favorably that it dulls the fullness signals they’re supposed to feel."
What do you think?

In a new study, salt made people eat 11% more food and calories

This is one I hear often. Gluten free diet, low carb diet, saturated fat, sugar, fructose is making you fat and the list goes on
Somehow, for the past few years, many of the nutrition messages popping up in the media are all nutrient focused. However, what we have forgotten is that we eat foods, not nutrients.
There is probably no single nutrient that we have discovered yet to be the main culprit for ill health and disease. For example, eating sugar does not always lead to diabetes, eating animal fat does not always lead to cardiovascular diseases. It is the WHOLE DIET and lifestyle that affects your health.

Base your diet on fresh fruits and vegetables, focus on minimally processed foods. You'll be on your way to better health.

I often get clients telling me the reason why they don't have vegetables on their plate it's because they don't have enough time to cut up vegetables. I agree, it can be time consuming at times, especially when you are on a busy schedule.

Problem solved!
Your local supermarkets have these already washed and packaged salads and cut up veg in bags or foil trays. Grab one on your way home. Aim for your 5 veg / day!
