🎬🏊 Movie in the Pool 🦈✨

We loved bringing the community together for our Movie in the Pool event at the Whyalla Recreation Centre as part of the January School Holiday Program!

More than 60 community members floated along and relaxed while enjoying Shark Tale, with some awesome shark floaties adding to the fun. 🦈🌊

Events like this help build social connections during the long school holiday break and create welcoming, engaging spaces for everyone.

A big thank you to Whyalla Recreation Centre and Whyalla City Council for making this event possible!

πŸͺ Kite Making! πŸͺ

As part of the January School Holiday Program, headspace Whyalla teamed up with Whyalla City Council to host a kite-making activity at the Whyalla Visitor Information Centre. 🌈

Over 15 young people got creative designing, building, and flying their colourful kites along the foreshore. While the wind had us packing up a little early, young people were able to take kites home to finish and fly safely in their own backyards.

Activities like this are all about giving young people fun, positive options in our community and creating opportunities to connect πŸ’™
