headspace Whyalla headspace Whyalla is a free and confidential youth health service dedicated to supporting young people aged 12-25.

We support your mental health, physical and sexual health, drugs & alcohol support and education & employment. We have a No Wrong Door policy, if we are not the right place for you we will help you to connect with the best service option in our local community. Referral is easy, at your first appointment you can talk to qualified professionals about whats happening in your life, the services you access will depend on your needs and goals. headspace Whyalla has free parking and has disability access throughout the centre.

🎃👻 Haunted House Highlights! 👻🎃

This Halloween, headspace Whyalla joined forces with Whyalla City Council and Westland Shopping Centre, Whyalla to bring the community a spooktacular Haunted House experience, and it was a scream! 😱

Over four days, our team transformed the old Sanity store into a creepy (but family-friendly!) haunted house packed with cobwebs, eerie lighting, and plenty of fun frights. Over 300 brave souls dared to step inside, taking part in guided walkthroughs designed to keep things safe, inclusive, and exciting for everyone. 🕷️🕸️

We also ran a Halloween raffle featuring amazing prizes - a scooter, a crochet activity pack, and LEGO. Congratulations to our winners, Amber, Bailey, and Amelia! 🏆🛴🧶

The community feedback has been incredible, and we loved seeing so many families and young people enjoying a creative, safe alternative to trick-or-treating. 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible and to everyone who came along for some frightful fun! 👻

We can’t believe how fast this year is going! As we head into the final stretch of 2025, our team is already busy planning for the Christmas school holidays, stay tuned for more details coming soon! 🎄✨

What. A. Morning! ☀️

Our headspace Day Sunrise Yoga was truly an unforgettable experience. ✨🧘‍♀️

With the incredible support of Whyalla Recreation Centre, who kindly partnered with us and provided a fantastic yoga instructor, we watched our community brave the cold and darkness, all in celebration of this year’s headspace Day.

headspace Day is a national day all about supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people. This year’s theme ‘Make Space To” is about making space for what matters, not by doing more, but by doing things differently. 🌿

As the sun rose, we moved, stretched, and breathed together, each person intentionally choosing to make space for their own wellbeing. Some beautiful “Make Space To” intentions were shared, including spending more time in nature, getting creative, connecting with loved ones, and simply winding down. Thank you to everyone who opened up and shared your moments with us. 💚

The sunrise was stunning, the vibes were wholesome, and the final meditation was the perfect reminder to slow down and be present. 🌅

A big thank you to our amazing community for making the morning so special, we couldn’t have celebrated headspace Day without you! 🤩
