💨 Needle-Free Flu Protection for Kids – Coming Soon

Influenza can be serious for children.

Last year in WA:
• 25% of flu cases were in children aged 2–11
• 17,000+ children visited emergency departments with respiratory illness
• More than 1,300 required hospital admission

Despite this, only around 17% of children in this age group are vaccinated against influenza.

To help improve protection, the WA Government is investing $7.24 million to deliver 130,000 free doses of FluMist — a needle-free nasal spray flu vaccine that protects against influenza A and B, the viruses responsible for seasonal flu.

The free FluMist program will run from mid-April until 31 July 2026.

We know life is busy, and it’s tough to get to the doctor during the week - especially when most clinics in the Wheatbelt and Great Southern are only open Monday to Friday.

What is a Nurse Practitioner?

A nurse practitioner is an advanced-practice nurse who can independently assess, diagnose, prescribe medications, and refer patients within their approved scope of practice.

Hilary is available:
• Thursday: 9am – 12pm
• Saturday: 9am – 12pm

For short appointments — perfect for:
✔ Repeat prescriptions
✔ Quick check-ups
✔ Sick little ones
✔ Minor illnesses
✔ General health concerns
✔ Vaccinations

When you can’t get into your GP.

We also have a private consultation room, so you can chat with Hilary confidentially and comfortably.

Appointments are preferred, but we keep a limited number of walk-in spots available — please phone ahead before arriving!
