I love spring! I love fruit and particularly raspberries. I have put some significant work into optimising my chances of a great crop this year. While I was pulling endless weeds I was thinking how this applies to birthing too. Yes you can get 'lucky' but mostly to have a great birth requires you to learn and create the conditions to support a great birth. It requires your time and resources; like most things in life really. Doing the work doesn't guarantee either because there will always be things out of our control but it's definitely always worth the effort if it's something you care about. Roll on raspberries!

PS anyone who thinks I get free fruit fails to see the time effort and resources I've invested
