Think your recovery’s on track? You might be slowing it down without even realising it.

1️⃣ Doing nothing. Rest feels safe, but too much of it can actually delay healing.
2️⃣ Doing too much. More isn’t always better. Your body needs balance, not burnout.
3️⃣ Skipping strength. Movement and load build resilience, confidence and long-term results.

Recovery isn’t about doing everything or nothing. It’s about doing the right things in the right way.

Build smarter, recover stronger, and find your balance with DC Physio.

Feeling stiff from sitting all day? Here are 2 quick moves you can secretly do behind your desk to reset your body and your focus 🧘
Try this first: bring one foot to the opposite knee, push gently on the knee, and lean forward at the hips. Hold for 20-30 seconds, then switch sides. This helps release your hips and lower back.
Next, do a seated upper back twist. Sit tall, place your hand on the back of your chair, and gently rotate your torso to one side. Hold, breathe, and repeat on the other. This one boosts mobility and posture.
It only takes a minute to feel better, move better, and reset your workday.

If your body’s feeling the strain from long hours at your desk, we can help you move comfortably again. Book an assessment with DC Physio today

Headaches? Could be a weak neck!

When your deep neck flexors are weak, larger muscles like the traps and SCM take over. That overwork creates tension that radiates into your head, causing those familiar headaches you can’t shake.

Strengthening your deep neck stabilisers can reduce both the intensity and frequency of headaches. Try this simple chin tuck with a head lift, a small movement that makes a big difference.

If your headaches keep coming back, don’t mask the pain, fix the cause. Book your next session with DC Physio and start training your neck strength today.

When your elbows stay too close and your shoulders roll forward, you’re limiting your movement and your results. Limited range equals limited gains.

Here’s the fix. Open up your elbows, keep your shoulders stable and move through the full range with control. You’ll feel the difference where it actually matters.

Control always beats ego!

Shoulder pain that won’t go away?
Most shoulder pain doesn’t happen from one big moment, it builds up slowly over time from overuse, poor load management, or muscle imbalance.

At DC Physio, we look deeper than the pain itself. We assess how your shoulder moves, how your muscles work together and what’s causing that tension or weakness to build. Then we create a plan to calm it down, rebuild strength and get you back to doing what you love, pain free! 🩵

If shoulder pain is holding you back, don’t just wait for it to disappear. Book your assessment with DC Physio and start moving with confidence again.

Desk job or gamer? Your posture might be holding more than just your screen time.
Looking down all day is like carrying a 27kg backpack on your neck. Over time, that extra load can cause stiffness, headaches and fatigue --> the classic signs of tech neck.
Here’s the fix:
Try some chin tucks and scapula wall angels. These small, controlled movements build strength and take pressure off your neck and shoulders.
Your neck will thank you.

If neck pain or stiffness is starting to hold you back, book an assessment with DC Physio and get your posture moving in the right direction.
