Flow and Grow Family Yoga

Flow and Grow Family Yoga Holding space for parents and children to connect through joyful movement. It's like Special Time on Steroids!

Flow & Grow Family Yoga offers yoga classes for you and your child throughout the Fleurieu Peninsula and Southern Adelaide region. Our mission is to support families in navigating this oftentimes stressful journey called life through the power of yoga, providing hands-on tools to un-hurry our lives and strengthen the special bond between each parent and child. Flow & Grow’s family yoga workshops allow parents – as well as other significant caregivers – and their children to release stressful energies, connect with themselves and each other, and strengthen body and mind. Our workshops are neither kids yoga with adults 'tagging along', nor adult yoga with kids. Rather, we weave together elements of play, acro yoga, asana and mindfulness practices, relaxation techniques, and each participant's own creative spirit. RELEASE stress and anxiety
CONNECT with yourself and your child
STRENGTHEN body and mind

Today, Australia celebrates International Children's day. UNICEF Australia writes on their website that "[t]his year is the 36th anniversary of the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child – a special moment where governments around the world (including Australia) agreed on 54 different rights that every child under 18 years old should have to live a safe, healthy and happy life."

Still, in the year 2025, millions of children around the globe barely manage to survive day to day; are discriminated against because of how they look, where they live, or whom they love; hundreds of thousands of them are killed in wars such as Isr@3ls genocide in G@za or Sudan; and climate change poses a real risk to the wellbeing of future generations everywhere.

There are many things we can do as individuals to help make the world a better place for ALL our children.

There are the more or less tangible things, such as donating time, resources or money to a charity that works locally, nationally and globally with and for children in need.

There is the daily work we do as parents and caregivers , showing up for our children, modelling what it means to be a good person worthy of imitation.

And there are the small acts of kindness - the friendly smile instead of a frown when we witness a child having a hard time; the gentle tone instead of a scolding voice when we set boundaries; and the way we speak about children when they're not around.

It all adds up.

What will you do today to make a child in your world feel seen and loved?

Are you feeling the end-of-year pressure? Take some time out to connect and recharge with ! Experience joyful connection with your child through a session that weaves together elements of play and storytelling, asana (poses) and mindfulness practices, relaxation techniques, a dash of acro yoga, and each participant's own creative spirit. It is a truly wonderful way to escape the hustle and bustle of our busy modern lives!

But don' t just take my word for it 😉 After a recent workshop, I received a lovely email from a first time participant thanking me "for such a positive experience today. Such a well put together session where every member of our family gained something.
It was lovely to reconnect and have some laughs too. I think this is something all families should try." 🩷

The final two sessions are happening in just under two weeks:
Saturday, 22 November at Yogita Yoga
2pm and 3.15pm

Places are limited so reserve your spot today! All are welcome and no previous experience is required.

The woman behind Flow & Grow Family Yoga

I’m Antje.

I founded Flow & Grow Family Yoga in 2020 in order to help parents and children connect, with themselves and with each other, through the power of yoga.

Being a parent myself, what excites me most about practising and teaching yoga is that it is one of the most joyous and effective ways to help us build a strong relationship with our children. It is this strong relationship that allows us and them to navigate life successfully.

I also love teaching family yoga because it lets me to bring together the "three loves of my life": parenting, yoga, and creative teaching.
