One of the things we hold closely at The Nook is the understanding that we don’t live the year as a straight line — we live it in cycles.
Honouring these cycles — rather than pushing against them — is at the heart of our practices here.
🍁 WHAT’S COMING UP 🍁
🌾 Lughnasadh Evening — Saturday 31st January
Next Saturday we gather to honour Lughnasadh, a sacred festival marking the first harvest.
In Druid tradition, Lughnasadh is a time of gratitude for what has grown through our efforts, and an invitation to consciously release what cannot be carried forward. It sits at a powerful threshold — between fullness and decline — reminding us that letting go is part of sustaining life.
Our evening will weave Druid ceremony with fire release, offering space to:
• acknowledge what you have cultivated
• give thanks for the harvest of your efforts
• consciously release what is ready to be laid down

🍵 Community Tea Gathering — Friday 6th February
Our next Community Tea Gathering takes place on February 6th, as we begin to explore the energy of Yang Metal Tiger.
We will share tea, reflect on the qualities of this energetic shift, and open space for conversation around the energy arts — BaZi, Qigong, seasonal transitions, and whatever questions are alive for you.
These gatherings are about learning with one another, not being taught at.

✨ Reiki Level 1 — Shoden | Saturday 22nd February
On February 22nd, I will be offering Reiki Level 1 (Shoden) — the initial training in the Reiki path.
This training is being taught in a way that more closely follows the teachings of Usui Sensei and Hayashi Sensei, rather than the modern expectation that Reiki can be fully understood, embodied, and completed in a single day.
We will meet for the initial training, and then gather again after three months — not for assessment, but to reflect on practice, note progress, and formally receive certificates. This allows Reiki to become a discipline lived and integrated, rather than something attained in a few hours.
This Level 1 training is self-healing only, with a strong focus on embodiment, daily practice, and traditional Japanese techniques.
Past Reiki students are warmly invited to return and redo their Level 1 training if they feel called to revisit the foundations in this way.
