🌟Say hi to Dave! 🌟

Since joining Kinetic, Dave has embraced every opportunity to grow. Committed, compassionate - Dave's easy going energy helps clients have confidence they're on the right track in their journey to Better.

Impressively, Dave completed a double degree in exercise physiology and psychology, and whilst practicing has been juggling more uni whilst he continues to work towards his Psychologist registration.

Dave says, "The team have supported my continued growth through ongoing feedback and guidance. This has helped me to take on complex clients with a greater degree of confidence in my own abilities."

Outside the clinic, Dave thrives on challenges. Whether it's pushing physical limits, devouring the hottest chillies 🌶️ - yes there are competitive chilli eating contests - or mastering board games 🎲.

We’re lucky to have a passionate, curious, and committed team, and Dave is a great example.

Meet Nash

Another one of our amazing students turned clinicians, Nash has been an invaluable addition to our Gloucester and Forster clinic teams. Nash's start to his career has been a journey of growth, learning, and building connections with new people which he's thrived in.

Like most of our team, Nash thrives on a challenge, and with the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients - each with their own stories, challenges, and goals - he has applied his trademark style which helps put people at ease and give them confidence in the next steps.

Nash says "I've witnessed firsthand how movement can truly change lives and assist those living in the regions, and as a local Wingham boy, I love being able to give back to the community which has given me so much growing up on the Mid North Coast".

Outside of work Nash enjoys tinkering with cars and boats, loud metal music and is a loyal, long term soccer player for the mighty Wingham Warriors for almost 20 years.

Introducing Luke!

Luke is a mainstay of our team, based out of our Taree and Wingham clinics.

With some exceptional skills in working across an array of needs - from persistent pain, to functional neurological disorder and MS - the authentic connection he builds with his patients is a pleasure to support.

Out of the clinic, despite years of disappointment, he remains a tragic Essendon fan, demonstrating just how committed and loyal he is - nearly as loyal as his two cute fur-babies who he is just as dedicated to.

We asked Luke for a reflection on his time with us over the journey so far:

"My time at Kinetic Medicine has been an incredible journey of both professional and personal growth. It has allowed me to continually develop and refine my skills to become the best clinician I can be for our local community. I genuinely believe I have the best job in the world, one that allows me to witness people achieving things they once thought were beyond them. That's what makes our work so rewarding and meaningful."

Thanks Luke, we love the impact you continue to make through your hard work and dedication.

Meet Lee!

Growing up in Wodonga, Lee is a local to our Border community through and through. Active in the community through sport and health promotion, Lee's approach is practical, person-centred and empowering. We love that Lee is the kind of person who wants to meet people where they are and help them move forward with confidence.

Having worked in some diverse settings before becoming an EP, Lee began her career in 1998 as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She's also been a physiotherapy assistant in rehabilitation hospitals, aged care, and disability group homes supporting clients with mild to severe and high support needs. With over 25 years of experience helping people improve their health, independence, and quality of life through safe and evidence-based movement, Lee works with clients of all ages, from children as young as 7 to adults in their 90s.

Lee works out of our Corowa and Albury clinics and has her week filled with:

✅ Chronic disease management
✅ Neurological conditions & neurodiversity
✅ NDIS functional capacity and therapy
✅ Acute and chronic injury rehabilitation
✅ Strength, mobility and falls prevention
✅ Functional training for daily independence

We love seeing clinicians come alive when doing the hard yards with their patients. That's why having Lee's energy and passion on the team is such an asset. She's fiercely dedicated to getting the best outcomes for her patients, and having Lee as part of our team helps KM to be at our best.

Thanks Lee!

Adrian's story of shoulder pain isn't a rare one.

After hurting himself and it not getting better after a couple of months, things were really starting to get him down.

It can be hard for those who haven't experienced an injury thats really limited them before, but when you've got a part of you that you rely on that's affected by pain it can really crush your mental health and things can start to spiral.

But never fear, with a little help from our Gloucester clinic team, Adrian is back to his best and is proving that grit and determination can take you far. It's why he's doing the Lift The Load Challenge for Men's Mental Health.

The Challenge is to carry 10kg for 50km, and Adrian is planning to go even further carrying even more. The money raised goes to the Top Blokes Foundation who support mentoring programs to equip boys and young men aged 10-24 with essential skills for positive mental health and wellbeing.

If you want to get behind Adrian and sponsor his awesome efforts head here: https://www.lifttheload.org.au/adrian-rovere

This is Zac, one of our newer clinicians and a regular at our Taree, Gloucester and Forster clinics.

Another one of our fabulous former students, we're thrilled to see locals go through the rigours of study and training to come out the other side as fantastic practitioners. It's so important for our future, and for the future of all of our regional communities to see pathways into career for people already living in the regions.

Zac is an avid sportsperson and loves his cricket and soccer, and is a gun at helping aspiring athletes get the best out of their body's. At the other end of the spectrum, Zac has been doing amazing work with our local Residential Aged Care Homes through our unique BrainStrength program, focused on helping older adults have psychological wellbeing and quality of life.

We asked Zac about his time with us so far:

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Kinetic Medicine. Being a recent graduate, John and Lizzie have provided a great platform for me to be able to learn the ropes and develop my skillset as an EP. Growing up in Bulahdelah I am no stranger to the lack of opportunities and access to healthcare. I am proud to be involved in Kinetic’s mission to fill this void."

Thanks Zac, keep up the great work!

This is one of our OG patients (with a much younger John), and safe to say one of the reasons why Kinetic Medicine exists.

Garry's journey with chronic pain was as unique as it was common. After suffering a foot injury while working as a stockman, a serious of medical interventions eventually determined that amputations were his best chance at relief from pain - except they weren't.

After years of pain, including pain in a foot that he no longer had, John met Garry at a real low point. Unable to walk with a prosthesis for the pain, reliant on crutches, John and Garry got to work on a range of strategies he hadn't tried before. A couple injections, some mirror box therapy, and a whole bunch of trial and error - a little cause for hope started to emerge.

It didn't happen overnight, but bit by bit, Garry came back to himself as the larrikin that those who knew him best found him to be. 18 months later he was fitted for a running blade and doing laps of Omaru Park with John to see how far they could push things to be better.

Along the way, Garry connected us with more patients with pain problems that he had met in his travels. He always remarked about the inspiration he drew especially from young kids, especially those with limb difference he had met at the prosthetic clinic.

The real high point was Garry's return back to his home town of Murrurundi, to play in a reunion game of league for the club he used to captain. When the jerseys were auctioned off as a fundraiser after the game, he bought his and gave it to John as a gesture of thanks. John still claims it's one the most valuable things he owns.

We lost Garry last year to Cancer, but we were lucky enough to have in him the clinic not long before he passed. It's the memory of people like Garry that live on in our work, that help us to keep focused on what's important. Seeing the impact that providing care for those living with pain can have - on them, their families, our communities - it makes all the tough times worth it.

Thanks Garry, rest easy mate.

📚🍳🧵 Meet Sephora — one of our OG admin legends at Kinetic Medicine.

She’s been with us for 8 years - her longest gig ever - and is absolutely critical to keeping us organised and on track. From coordinating behind the scenes to tackling the hard stuff no one sees, Sephora’s commitment runs deep.

As one of our longest serving team members, we're forever indebted to her for sticking with us through thick and thin, good times and bad.

Outside of KM, she’s a big movie buff — with 10 Things I Hate About You topping her favourites list — and she loves to read, cook, and sew, and take in the occasional live music gig. She shares life with her husband and their homegrown yowie of a teenage son.

Whether it’s her warm voice over the phone or her welcoming presence in our Taree clinic, Sephora’s kindness and calm are her trademark. We’re so lucky to have her.

Thank you, Sephora, for everything you do.

Our Kinetic Sessions - what we call our group services - are designed to help people get the support they need, build connection and embed vital habits.

Over the years we've witnessed the power of encouragement that shared grit and determination can have on a group of people managing their health and wellbeing. We love to share these stories because seeing people 'live better' is what we're all about. If you've got a story you want to share, just reach out.

This one is from Helen - who is just the sweetest - and joined our Kinetic Sessions way back when they were new! Thanks for working with our team Helen!

"I never thought in a million years that I would be excited to be going to any gym, but Kinetic is not just any gym. I visit there three hours a week for sessions that strengthen my body to survive the rest of the week. My exercise has been planned by exercise professionals who know my needs and supervise my visits.

Leah not only exercises our bodies, but she has developed an atmosphere where all participants in the session enjoy their time together.

I have fun at the gym! Who would have believed it?

Thank you Kinetic!"

Like most small businesses, at the heart of Kinetic Medicine are families, more than a dozen of them.

In the last 10 years these Kinetic kids sure have grown enough to make most of us feel pretty old, but the one thing that hasn’t aged is our commitment to being a transformative presence in the communities our clinics are a part of.

Giving people hope through healthcare they can rely on has the power to bring people back to themselves and the people they love. We don’t think there’s many higher callings.

☕️📋💬 Meet Bec, a cornerstone of our Support Services Team and a quiet powerhouse behind the scenes at Kinetic Medicine.

For the past 5 years, Bec has helped make the hard stuff easier. Her ability to navigate complex systems and keep our clinical team sharp and organised means patients arrive informed, supported, and ready to feel heard.

She’s the archetype of what it means for our admin to do the tough stuff with clients, to make sure that every client knows they’ve found a place that listens deeply and cares genuinely.

💬 “It’s been so rewarding to be part of improving how our rural communities access healthcare. With the support and challenge to grow my skillset, Kinetic Medicine has helped me foster my passion for helping people. I love catching up with our long-standing clients, hearing their yarns, and seeing how Kinetic has changed their lives.”

Bec’s warmth, whether over the phone or in person at our Forster clinic, is unmistakable. Her commitment, her willingness to do the hard stuff, and her behind-the-scenes impact are things we value deeply.

A fan of sarcasm, rainy days, long sits on the couch, and coffeeeeee 😂☕️ she's a blast to hang out with.

We’re so proud to have Bec on the team.

Let us introduce you to Leah — one of our cherished exercise physiologists at Kinetic Medicine.

Leah’s journey with us began as a placement student, and we were stoked to have her take up a role on moving back to her hometown of Forster - 5 years ago, if you can believe it?

Even as a student, her quiet determination and deep care for others stood out.

All these years on, Leah has grown into a clinical leader who helps shape our close-knit, high-performing team. In particular, her expertise in helping to care for our first responder patients who entrust us to help them in challenging times is particular talent. It's skills like this which have helped our work in the treatment of PTSD to be an industry standout.

💬 “My time at Kinetic Medicine has been an immensely rewarding chapter in my professional journey. I’ve had the privilege of working within a deeply supportive and forward-thinking team, one that consistently challenges the status quo and redefines what’s possible within the healthcare landscape.”

We’re proud to have Leah leading the way in redefining care and connection.

👟🍺🛍 Meet Leal — runner, home brewer, and Facebook marketplace enthusiast.

Leal’s been part of the Kinetic team for over three years, and it’s flown by.

In that time, he's grown into a clinician who thrives on challenge and hard work. His determination to help others get the best out of themselves is an asset to our patients and, as one of our clinical leadership team, is an asset to our whole team.

💬 “Kinetic has honed an environment that nourishes clinicians' growth and expands our skillset to enable us to assist with some of the most challenging conditions. It really has been great to help empower our patients to get better and stay better.”

Leal is part of the glue that keeps our team together, performing to a high standard. Here’s to helping people move better, feel better, and live better, together for many years to come. 💪

Meet the amazing Chloe! 🧡

Chloe joined the team in December 2024 after starting her career in Perth and developing an expertise in working with older adults and those living with a disability.

A Myrtleford local, a move back closer to home has seen her become a hit with our patients and clients out of our Corowa and Albury clinics.

Since joining, Chloe has embraced our innovative tools like our Dynamometry and ForeDecks assessment systems, VR, and of course our ExoSkeletons project in Albury to support neurological rehab.

Chloe says “I’ve really enjoyed learning to integrate technology into my practice to support better outcomes for clients.”

Outside of work, she enjoys bouldering, netball, and anything involving water - from swimming to chasing waterfalls. A proud Saints supporter and AFL fan, we're all hoping for her sake the Sainters have a good 2026 season 😉

What stands out most? “The team — curious, open-minded, and always willing to share ideas. Even though we’re often in different locations, there’s a strong sense of connection.”

Thanks Chloe, we love having you on the team

This is Lana, one of our Admin Team Legends at Kinetic Medicine.

Lana joined Kinetic Medicine nearly 12 months ago and has become a valued part of the Admin team, based at our Corowa clinic.

She’s passionate about supporting clients and says, “I love hearing their stories and seeing the benefits that exercise can bring, physically and mentally.”

She’s especially inspired by the impact of cardiac and pulmonary rehab programs, helping ensure they run smoothly and seeing firsthand how they support people with respiratory and heart conditions.

Outside of KM, Lana is a proud mum of five and runs her own creative business, Lansy’s Creations, making candles and diffusers, a hobby she finds deeply rewarding.

Flashback alert! 🚨

In celebrating 10 years of Kinetic Medicine, it wouldn't be right for us to neglect paying tribute to the first addition to the clinical team - Nathan.

We can't overstate just how important Nathan is in the history of KM. Bringing Nathan in meant we were able to keep growing and delivering excellent care in our earliest days.

Kind, full of integrity, and a keen listener, Nathan easily slotted into the local community after relocating from Brisbane. Even if he had the biggest chest in local cricket and rugby and it put a bit of fear into the opposition 💪
Now back in Brisbane and settled with a family of his own in a dedicated mental health role, Nathan continues to practice in his trademark style.

We asked Nathan if he'd share a little something for you all:

"Joining Kinetic Medicine in its early days was a fantastic experience. Not only getting to learn from John side by side but then watching the business grow from myself and John to many many more Exercise Physiologists.

One of my biggest takeaways was just how fantastic the people are in all the towns and places I got to work in such as Wingham, Harrington and Taree. From working out of medical centre and local gyms to having our own spaces with the specialized equipment was tremendous growth.

An amazing experience working at Kinetic Medicine. The people who we helped and continue to help. The people who I got to work with and the experience. Looking forward to seeing what the next 10 years at KM look like."

This is Lilly.

Working with clients like Lilly really make our day. Showing off her best golfing style here, Lilly has made leaps and bounds working with Sam on her recovery and we love seeing her whacking long drives down the fairway on the way to success.

Therapy doesn't have to be boring, it doesn't have to demand you to do things that don't seem to connect with your goals. If you've got big ambitions, your therapy should be ambitious too and should help you feel like its connecting you to the outcomes your after.

We love doing our very best to reinvent therapeutic tools and strategies so that they're as unique as a fabulous clients.

Rock on Lilly, you've got this.

10/10/2025

We love it when we get a chance to be a part of someones come back even when the odds get a little stacked against them.

Karen's journey with shoulder pain and post op recovery has been long and winding, but we've stood by her through thick and thin to try and help her have the joint mobility and quality of life she's been after.

A passionate swimming teacher, a lifelong learner, and full of grit and determination, helping people like Karen is what we're all about.

Thanks for the kind words Karen, helping people like yourself is what its all about.
