Living with a neurological condition like MS can make everyday movement feel unpredictable.

There are so many possible goals with a condition as complex and diverse as MS, but our focus is always to provide a chance that today could be a good day.

We work closely with people with MS to create therapy programs that are safe, personalised, and focused on things like maintaining strength and balance, reducing symptoms, and staying confident.

Helping people do really important stuff means we end up building really strong connections with our clients, like our mate Henry here. We appreciate the cheeky bu**er always likes to keep us on toes.

If you or someone you care about is navigating MS or another complex neurological condition, we’re here to help you move forward knowing that you've got good help at hand.

Lots of people ask how what we do is different, and it's a really good question.

As an Exercise Physiology Practice, we're a bit of a rare bird.

Most Exercise Physiologists (EP's) work on their own, or with other types of health professionals. The problem with that is, it means that these EP's aren't always equipped to do some of their most valuable work.

Our EP's work to the fullest extent of their professions skills across the whole array of health and disability care, across conditions as varied as:

🦿neurological therapy
😖pain and injury rehabilitation
🫩chronic fatigue
🫁 heart and lung diseases
🏥cancer
🧠mental illness and trauma care

This is because as Physiologists, our domain is implementing what we know about how the body works and what we can do to change that for it's own good.

Your body is built to move, adapt, and heal. And if you want some guidance on what to do to make sure that it does just that, that’s where we come in.

At Kinetic Medicine, we use primarily movement and exercise based therapy to help you take an active role in your recovery. This means we focus on helping you to be an active participant in your own healthcare. You're in the drivers seat.

From chronic condition management to injury rehab and prevention, we focus on building habits that last. With expert coaching, tailored strategies, and practical tools, we make your goal of staying better come true.

From Taree to Forster, Salamander Bay to Maitland, Wagga to Griffith, Albury to Corowa, if you're ready to feel stronger, move better, and take control of your health, we're here to help you get started.

Jane* used to think rest was the best answer to their ongoing joint issues.

She'd take time off, feel slightly better, then return to normal activities only to have everything flare up again. It was a frustrating cycle that left her wondering if she'd ever feel like herself again.

Then Jane learned something that changed everything. All of our body's adapt to the conditions we place on them. That means movement-based therapy is the most reliable, low-risk medicine for the problems people have with moving their body.

At Kinetic Medicine, we specialise in movement based therapies that aim to break the cycle of temporary relief and recurring problems. Our approach is to take into account a broad view of what's going on with your health, and help you build up your body's capacity to heal and strengthen itself from the inside out.

Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists design therapy strategies as unique as you are, based on the latest evidence. We help you understand more about how your body works, why it matters, and how to maintain progress long after your rehab ends.

Is your rehab stuck? Let's get you moving back towards better.

What if managing diabetes felt empowering instead of overwhelming?

We had the pleasure of running another Beat It program out of our Forster clinic recently, and couldn't help but spend the last session out and about taking advantage of some of the areas natural resources.

At Kinetic Medicine, our Diabetes services are all about creating an experience that's safe, fun, and effective designed for people with real problems that need real solutions

We help people improve blood sugar control, boost energy, and feel confident in their body again.

And with our Kinetic Session option, the best part is you’re never doing it alone.

Our next Beat It program will run out of our Griffith Clinic in February 2026. Stay tuned for the next Kinetic-run Beat It coming to a clinic near you.

Want to know more? Take the first step today by messaging us or giving us a call to book your consultation.

🌟Say hi to Dave! 🌟

Since joining Kinetic, Dave has embraced every opportunity to grow. Committed, compassionate - Dave's easy going energy helps clients have confidence they're on the right track in their journey to Better.

Impressively, Dave completed a double degree in exercise physiology and psychology, and whilst practicing has been juggling more uni whilst he continues to work towards his Psychologist registration.

Dave says, "The team have supported my continued growth through ongoing feedback and guidance. This has helped me to take on complex clients with a greater degree of confidence in my own abilities."

Outside the clinic, Dave thrives on challenges. Whether it's pushing physical limits, devouring the hottest chillies 🌶️ - yes there are competitive chilli eating contests - or mastering board games 🎲.

We’re lucky to have a passionate, curious, and committed team, and Dave is a great example.

Meet Nash

Another one of our amazing students turned clinicians, Nash has been an invaluable addition to our Gloucester and Forster clinic teams. Nash's start to his career has been a journey of growth, learning, and building connections with new people which he's thrived in.

Like most of our team, Nash thrives on a challenge, and with the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients - each with their own stories, challenges, and goals - he has applied his trademark style which helps put people at ease and give them confidence in the next steps.

Nash says "I've witnessed firsthand how movement can truly change lives and assist those living in the regions, and as a local Wingham boy, I love being able to give back to the community which has given me so much growing up on the Mid North Coast".

Outside of work Nash enjoys tinkering with cars and boats, loud metal music and is a loyal, long term soccer player for the mighty Wingham Warriors for almost 20 years.

Introducing Luke!

Luke is a mainstay of our team, based out of our Taree and Wingham clinics.

With some exceptional skills in working across an array of needs - from persistent pain, to functional neurological disorder and MS - the authentic connection he builds with his patients is a pleasure to support.

Out of the clinic, despite years of disappointment, he remains a tragic Essendon fan, demonstrating just how committed and loyal he is - nearly as loyal as his two cute fur-babies who he is just as dedicated to.

We asked Luke for a reflection on his time with us over the journey so far:

"My time at Kinetic Medicine has been an incredible journey of both professional and personal growth. It has allowed me to continually develop and refine my skills to become the best clinician I can be for our local community. I genuinely believe I have the best job in the world, one that allows me to witness people achieving things they once thought were beyond them. That's what makes our work so rewarding and meaningful."

Thanks Luke, we love the impact you continue to make through your hard work and dedication.

Meet Lee!

Growing up in Wodonga, Lee is a local to our Border community through and through. Active in the community through sport and health promotion, Lee's approach is practical, person-centred and empowering. We love that Lee is the kind of person who wants to meet people where they are and help them move forward with confidence.

Having worked in some diverse settings before becoming an EP, Lee began her career in 1998 as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She's also been a physiotherapy assistant in rehabilitation hospitals, aged care, and disability group homes supporting clients with mild to severe and high support needs. With over 25 years of experience helping people improve their health, independence, and quality of life through safe and evidence-based movement, Lee works with clients of all ages, from children as young as 7 to adults in their 90s.

Lee works out of our Corowa and Albury clinics and has her week filled with:

✅ Chronic disease management
✅ Neurological conditions & neurodiversity
✅ NDIS functional capacity and therapy
✅ Acute and chronic injury rehabilitation
✅ Strength, mobility and falls prevention
✅ Functional training for daily independence

We love seeing clinicians come alive when doing the hard yards with their patients. That's why having Lee's energy and passion on the team is such an asset. She's fiercely dedicated to getting the best outcomes for her patients, and having Lee as part of our team helps KM to be at our best.

Thanks Lee!

Adrian's story of shoulder pain isn't a rare one.

After hurting himself and it not getting better after a couple of months, things were really starting to get him down.

It can be hard for those who haven't experienced an injury thats really limited them before, but when you've got a part of you that you rely on that's affected by pain it can really crush your mental health and things can start to spiral.

But never fear, with a little help from our Gloucester clinic team, Adrian is back to his best and is proving that grit and determination can take you far. It's why he's doing the Lift The Load Challenge for Men's Mental Health.

The Challenge is to carry 10kg for 50km, and Adrian is planning to go even further carrying even more. The money raised goes to the Top Blokes Foundation who support mentoring programs to equip boys and young men aged 10-24 with essential skills for positive mental health and wellbeing.

If you want to get behind Adrian and sponsor his awesome efforts head here: https://www.lifttheload.org.au/adrian-rovere

This is Zac, one of our newer clinicians and a regular at our Taree, Gloucester and Forster clinics.

Another one of our fabulous former students, we're thrilled to see locals go through the rigours of study and training to come out the other side as fantastic practitioners. It's so important for our future, and for the future of all of our regional communities to see pathways into career for people already living in the regions.

Zac is an avid sportsperson and loves his cricket and soccer, and is a gun at helping aspiring athletes get the best out of their body's. At the other end of the spectrum, Zac has been doing amazing work with our local Residential Aged Care Homes through our unique BrainStrength program, focused on helping older adults have psychological wellbeing and quality of life.

We asked Zac about his time with us so far:

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Kinetic Medicine. Being a recent graduate, John and Lizzie have provided a great platform for me to be able to learn the ropes and develop my skillset as an EP. Growing up in Bulahdelah I am no stranger to the lack of opportunities and access to healthcare. I am proud to be involved in Kinetic’s mission to fill this void."

Thanks Zac, keep up the great work!

This is one of our OG patients (with a much younger John), and safe to say one of the reasons why Kinetic Medicine exists.

Garry's journey with chronic pain was as unique as it was common. After suffering a foot injury while working as a stockman, a serious of medical interventions eventually determined that amputations were his best chance at relief from pain - except they weren't.

After years of pain, including pain in a foot that he no longer had, John met Garry at a real low point. Unable to walk with a prosthesis for the pain, reliant on crutches, John and Garry got to work on a range of strategies he hadn't tried before. A couple injections, some mirror box therapy, and a whole bunch of trial and error - a little cause for hope started to emerge.

It didn't happen overnight, but bit by bit, Garry came back to himself as the larrikin that those who knew him best found him to be. 18 months later he was fitted for a running blade and doing laps of Omaru Park with John to see how far they could push things to be better.

Along the way, Garry connected us with more patients with pain problems that he had met in his travels. He always remarked about the inspiration he drew especially from young kids, especially those with limb difference he had met at the prosthetic clinic.

The real high point was Garry's return back to his home town of Murrurundi, to play in a reunion game of league for the club he used to captain. When the jerseys were auctioned off as a fundraiser after the game, he bought his and gave it to John as a gesture of thanks. John still claims it's one the most valuable things he owns.

We lost Garry last year to Cancer, but we were lucky enough to have in him the clinic not long before he passed. It's the memory of people like Garry that live on in our work, that help us to keep focused on what's important. Seeing the impact that providing care for those living with pain can have - on them, their families, our communities - it makes all the tough times worth it.

Thanks Garry, rest easy mate.
