For Jake who is one of our participants, getting on a bike wasn’t easy. He’s autistic, non-verbal, and living with Down syndrome and something as simple as riding takes extra care and planning.
That’s where the right team makes a difference.
With the help of Freedom Solutions Australia - previously Solve-TAD and Jake’s OT from National 360 , a custom bike was designed to suit his needs.
Laura, his OT suggested that with a swivel seat to make getting on easier, and extra support to keep him comfortable and safe.
Now, Jake can join in on those everyday moments - the ones families treasure most.
A ride beside mum or dad. A smile that says it all.
