At Real Girls - we believe living a healthy life is not about deprivation, 6 packs or bikinis. It’s about eating well, moving well and living well - being a role model for your children so that they avoid the dieting rollercoaster and mindset that you have endured - helping them see that ‘healthy’ is easy and ‘normal’. And most importantly that it’s also about building self-acceptance, self-confidence, self-care and your dreams. We also GET that you’re busy and juggling all of life’s demands - but that you still want to feel and look amazing - to live your life with confidence. We’re here to treat you and your health as a whole - treating you as the individual you are - not a number or a generic cookie-cutter stereo type based on scales or your years on earth.

Kate has been training with me since 2022, and today we celebrated a HUGE milestone — 500 sessions.

At 72, Kate is one of those women who just shows up. No fuss. No fanfare. Consistent, determined, and quietly very strong. The kind of strong that often surprises people — including those half her age.

She comes for the accountability, the mental space, and the social connection… and the strength that’s built real confidence along the way. Since joining the studio, Kate has even taken up horse riding again — because this stage of life isn’t about slowing down.

Kate, you inspire more women here than you probably realise — and 500 sessions is something to be incredibly proud of.

Huge shout-out to Real Girl Alison! 🙌

Alison recently completed her first marathon—the Buffalo Stampede—a 42.9 km trail race with over 1,690m of elevation.

Not your average marathon!

It’s a tough trail with serious climbs and descents, and Alison absolutely crushed it! 💥

Here’s Alison’s take on why this goal was so special:
“I wanted to prove to myself that I could not only finish the race but do all the training that was required to do it. It was really important to me to show my kids that I’m more than “just” mum.”

For Alison, this wasn’t just about finishing—it was about showing her kids, and especially her daughter, that women can take on big challenges and succeed. It’s about strength, determination, and proving to yourself that you’re capable of more than you think.

She faced challenges—like finding time to train, the summer heat, and getting enough rest—but Alison stayed focused and kept making it happen.

“The Real Girls Movement played a huge role. The strength training helped keep me injury-free, and the Nutrition program helped me fuel my body better. The friendship and camaraderie every week helped me through the tough times"

And how did she celebrate? With family, friends, and plenty of ice cream! 🍦🎉
