Check out our January 2026 School Holiday Program. There’s lots of great activities to choose from like fishing and a picnic on Thursday 8 January 2026. Interchange Illawarra’s Youth Programs are designed for high school students with a NDIS plan and low to moderate support needs.

Season’s Greetings! We wish all Interchange Illawarra participants, parents, carers and employees a happy and healthy festive season.

Please note that the office will be closed from Thursday 24 December 2025, and reopen on Monday 5 January 2026.

Check out the BestLife activities for Term 1 commencing on 5 January 2026.

• Active Monday – Swimming and gentle yoga
• Life Skills Tuesday – Meal planning and cooking, computer skills and internet safety
• Outdoor Wednesday – Fishing, scenic walks and nature photography
• Leisure Thursday - Ten pin bowling and card games
• Creative Friday - Term long art projects and freestyle art and craft activities

Interchange Illawarra’s BestLife Support Program is our schedule of activities designed for people with low to moderate support needs. The program commences from the Wallis Centre, located at 114 Church Street, Wollongong.

The activities run from 8.30am to 3.30pm on weekdays and transport is available for those people who require it. Each program runs for 12 weeks, and you can sign up for any number of days per week.

The flyers for January and February 2026 are now available. There are some amazing activities on offer including visiting Kiama Show, going barefoot bowling, listening to live music, the cooking program, art and craft, water fun days, laser tag, shell craft with Jodie from the Eclectic Bower, barbeques, day trips, card making and much more!

We are incredibly grateful to Mazda Wollongong for loaning us a Mazda CX-80 for the next two years. This vehicle will make a huge difference in helping us to transport participants and other work related transport tasks.

An official key handover ceremony took place on Friday 12 December 2025, with representatives from Mazda, along with Susan (our Chairperson), Jake (our CEO) and local member Alison Byrnes MP.

A heartfelt thank you to Dale Purkis (Dealer Principal), Scott McLeod (New Vehicle Sales Manager) and Courtney Vidler Taufa (New Vehicle Sales Consultant) for making this incredible opportunity possible. Oh, what a night! We had over 270 participants, family members and employees of Interchange Illawarra attend our 2025 End of Year party at Kembla Range Racecourse.

The room looked beautiful with table decorations made by the BestLife Creative Friday group, led by Jodie.

We were also lucky to see two dance routines performed by our BestLife Active Monday Group, led by Emma S.

Service awards were handed out, we had 24 lucky door prize winners, then the DJ cranked up the music, and the dance floor was full of some very energetic dancers!

The End of Year party is a free event for registered participants, and their families, and is definitely a ‘perk’ of being with Interchange Illawarra.
