PARTNER YOGA ❤️ Part 2.
ADHO MUKHA SVANASANA
Benefits: Lengthens the spine, encourages circulation to organs,stretches Hamstrings & Blood flow to the brain. Opens shoulders, strengthens legs & arms.
*One partner goes into Downward Dog pose. Start by kneeling in Cat pose, hands in front of your shoulders and knees beneath your hips.
*Breathe in & come into Downward Dog. Let hips come back, ears in line with shoulders & relax neck. Try to soften heels towards the mat. Breathe out.
*The person standing, stands between the others arms in a lunge.
* Place palms on your partners sacral area.
* Lengthen their back by moving their sacram upwards. This is to elongate, lengthen the spine.
* Communicate with each other, ensure your partner is comfortable.
* Swap over.
SEE SAW - SOFT OPENING
Benefits:
Both postures open hips and encourage circulation to the pelvis and reproductive organs. The supported partner is opening their chest, heart & lungs. They are also lengthening their spine.
Communication, working together & listening.
*Sit crossed legged, Back to Back to your partner
* Breathe in, lift from your waist and extend forward and stretch arms out. Soften shoulders. Feel the rounding of your back & spine.
* Let your head and neck soften and loosen.
* Soften into the hips.
* Partner supported, breathes in & raises their arms and eased back onto their partner and rests on them.
*Lifting from waist as you ease back.
* Lifts and stretches arms & opens chest & back.
* Communicate, make sure your not resting too heavily on your partner.
* Breathe in and out.
* Let your body soften & open.
