Hi beautiful mamas,
How are you feeling today?
Many of us are struggling with the symptoms of burnout resulting from living in a chronic state of stress. When experiencing burnout, we may:
- experience forgetfulness
- feel withdrawn
- feel physically and emotionally exhausted
- have trouble sleeping
- notice changes in our appetite
- experience a short temper
- experience high levels of mama guilt
- experience reduced immunity
- feel unmotivated
- feel anxious or depressed
Mama, you can take steps to reclaim your well-being. These include:
- talking it through with a therapist
- asking for help
- confiding in a friend, partner, parent, neighbour, work colleague, etc.
- connecting with a community of like-minded souls
- permitting yourself to be imperfect
- avoiding comparison
- self-care
- getting plenty of sleep
- allowing yourself a break
- doing something that brings you joy
- moving your body
- detoxing from technology
- clean eating
- mindfulness & meditation
- balancing your energy
