It’s Invisible Disabilities Week (19–25 October)! 🌻

Around 80–85% of people with a disability have one that isn’t visible. These include neurological, cognitive, sensory, mental health, and chronic conditions that aren’t always immediately apparent.

Not all disabilities are visible — but a little understanding and kindness can go a long way in making everyone feel seen and supported.

BLDC is Hiring: Experienced Support Workers – Sandgate, Mango Hill & Kallangur

We are looking for dedicated support workers to join our team in the Sandgate, Mango Hill, and Kallangur areas.

About the Role:
• Support clients with physical disabilities and mental health needs
• Flexible availability required, including weekdays, weekends, and sleepovers
• Assisting with daily living, personal care, community access, and emotional support

Requirements:
• Previous experience in physical disability and mental health support
• Clear and fluent English communication skills
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently
• Must have relevant qualifications and checks (Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid, etc.)
• Must hold a valid Australian driver’s license and be confident driving a large car and van
