Today is an historic day. We are introducing new laws to protect Queenslanders against non-physical forms of domestic violence.

These laws will address the patterned nature of coercive control, and limit a perpetrator’s ability to further traumatise victims during the court process.

My government is committed to protecting victims of domestic and family violence.

We will do everything we can to keep them safe.

Ever done a poo so good it deserves a medal? 💩🥇

Here are some key tips to make sure you win gold with your next trip to the toilet. 👇

When on the loo:
🚽 sit with your knees higher than your hips
🚽 lean forward with your elbows on your knees
🚽 relax your stomach
🚽 don’t sit on the toilet for too long to avoid haemorrhoids
🚽 wipe front to back to avoid UTIs.

Feel the need to poo? Go to the loo! Holding it in can dry out the poo and make it harder to pass. Eventually, if things begin to back up it can cause chronic constipation.

Don’t forget to wash your hands afterwards. Hygiene is important for preventing the spread of diseases such as e. coli or the flu.

On your marks, get set, poo!
