This may be my last year celebrating World Breastfeeding Week, whilst still breastfeeding. 🤱🏻

My body has nourished three babies well into toddlerhood. I’ve spent 5 years (and counting!) breastfeeding and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

My journey hasn’t always been easy, however it was definitely worth it. To be my babies’ safe places during the night. To have my milk as their exclusive nourishment for their first few months earthside. To be able to calm ouchies and sickness with a nurse and cuddle. To see their beautiful eyes flutter as they drift off to sleep. Everything was worth it.

My breastfeeding days are numbered now. But I’m going to take it all in. Because one day they won’t need me. One day they’ll have their own families. And one day, I will miss this. ❤️

I spent the day with friends, sitting in circle, blessing our friend who is due to have her third baby soon. We also cooked some freezer meals and snacks for when her baby makes it earth side.
Our friendship has blossomed over the past few years. Now, when she is coming into a time where she will need the most support, we will be there as part of her village, with a warm meal, wise words and a helping hand. The way motherhood is supposed to be.🌿🌸
