We are remembering Tibor Weitzen and Edith Brutman - valued members of our community whose lives were cruelly taken at Bondi Beach last week.

Tibor and his wife Eva were recipients of multiple grants from the Wolper Jewish Hospital Health Foundation, supporting their wonderful organisation Friends of Refugees of Eastern Europe (F.R.E.E). Their program brought elderly Russian-speaking members of the Jewish community together.

Edith was also a loved member of F.R.E.E., and was a regular participant in Wolper’s programs. We will miss her participation in classes and she will be remembered fondly by her instructors Darsh and Andrea.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the Weitzen and Brutman families. May Edith and Tibor’s memories forever be a blessing.

The Hon. Ryan Park visited Wolper yesterday, spending time with Richard Glass, Daniel Goldberg, David Ossip and Tina Boger to discuss the key challenges facing today’s healthcare sector.

He also met with Dr Anita Nitchingham, geriatrician at POW and Wolper, along with several of our department managers and staff.

We were proud to showcase our work, our people and our commitment to quality care. He left impressed by Wolper and the warm welcome from our team 😊🌟
