Immune-fortifying Shiitake, ginger, soba sou ~ the kind of nourishing meal I keep coming back to as the weather gets cooler 🍜

This recipe is packed with warming, immune-bolstering ingredients like ginger, garlic, spring onions and shiitake mushrooms to help fortify the body through Autumn and Winter.

I love meals like this because they’re simple, comforting and easy to adapt depending on what you have on hand.

The broth itself is so flavourful, and the addition of buckwheat soba noodles makes it feel like a proper nourishing meal.

Shiitake mushrooms are also a beautiful inclusion here, valued for their therapeutic natural beta-glucan compounds, which have been studied for their immune-modulating effects.

It’s the perfect recipe to have on rotation when you want something warming, easy to digest and supportive during cold and flu season.

Save this one for later & happy cooking 😉

Nature has a beautiful way of rebalancing the intensity and pace of modern life.

When work feels high pressure, screen time is constant, and your nervous system is carrying too much, getting outside can be one of the simplest ways to reset.

Beach. Bush. Ocean. Sunshine. Fresh air.

Sometimes that’s exactly what the body needs.

How do you like to spend time in nature? 🌳

Endo Awareness Month 💛

So many of my clients live with endometriosis, and if that’s you, I just want to acknowledge the enormous emotional and physical toll this can take.

Endometriosis is a complex, chronic condition, with many overlapping drivers including genetic, immune, inflammatory and hormonal theories. Because symptoms vary between women and change over time, diagnosis can take years.

Alongside medical care, foundational nutrition + lifestyle support can make a meaningful difference to comfort, and there are evidence-based options we can personalise, including support for future fertility if that’s part of your goal.

Shout out to for their excellent patient resources for endo + adenomyosis.

What does “health” mean to you?
Is it energy? Better sleep? A calmer nervous system? Fewer flare-ups? More balance to feel like yourself again?

I don’t see health as “perfect” or “broken.”
I see health as a scale, and most days, it’s not about a huge overhaul… it’s about making small choices daily that move you in the right direction on your health scale.

Some examples may include:
〰️ a 20-minute walk outdoors.
〰️ increasing protein and fibre breakfast.
〰️ drinking an extra 2 cups of water.
〰️ packing your own lunch to take to work.
〰️ swapping that second coffee to a green tea or herbal tea.
〰️ saying no when your body is asking for rest.
〰️ getting into bed 30 minutes earlier.

Every day, your choices are either supporting you… or pulling you away from how you want to feel.

What’s one small choice you can make today that nudges you closer to your version of health? 💛

This Mediterranean sardine toast is one of my favourite “quick lunches” when I want something that actually keeps me full & focused.

Sardines might be small, but nutritionally they’re a powerhouse, rich in omega-3s (EPA + DHA), high-quality protein, and key nutrients like vitamin B12, Iron, Iodine and selenium. If you eat the soft little bones (they’re honestly barely noticeable), you’ll also get a nice hit of calcium too.

If you’re not a sardine person, here’s the trick: pair them with bold flavours and freshness.

Pesto balances the richness, or lemon + parsley + rocket act like palate-cleansers to improve the fishy taste.

My top tip? Choose a good-quality brand, you’ll taste (and feel) the difference.
I like Brunswick, Good Fish, or The Stock Merchant.

Perfect for post-walk, pre-errands, or that “I need lunch in 5 minutes” moment.

This International Women's Day, I am thinking about the incredible Women in my life, both close to home, and stretched across the globe.

All of these women have different backgrounds, different stories, and are unique.
But they are all powerful in their own way, and their love & energy amplifies my own.

Today I hope you know how much I value and celebrate your friendship, mentorship & sisterhood.

I also feel honoured to be a daughter, a sister, an auntie, a god-mum, and to have a daughter of my own (who I cherish).

Today is a day for celebrating Women worldwide.
We are stronger together.

In clinic, one of my favourite things is showing people how to upgrade the meals they’re already eating.

No new meal plan, no overhaul… just small tweaks that add big benefits.

And one of the biggest gaps I see? Fibre.

Most of us simply aren’t getting enough, which matters because fibre is a cornerstone for gut health and steady energy.

So if you’re already having porridge, here’s how to fibre-boost your morning bowl 👇🏽
Just 1/3 cup oats, 30g = ~3g fibre
Oats + “value-adds” = ~15+g fibre 🙌🏽

Why this helps:
✨ More stable energy (less mid-morning crash + snack cravings)
✨ Better blood sugar balance (focus + steady mood)
✨ Gut support - fibre feeds your beneficial microbes + supports bowel regularity

My simple porridge upgrade:
1. Value-add:
Choose 2–3 of these: chia seeds, ground flax, h**p, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, a medjool date, prunes, grated pear, stewed apples, cacao.
2. Add 1 cup of milk of choice (consider almond milk fortified with Calcium).
3. Top it off: Yoghurt or kefir + fruit + almond butter + cinnamon (bonus for blood sugar support).

Tip: If you’re increasing fibre, do it gradually + drink extra water 💧

As the sticky summer heat starts to ease, autumn produce is stepping into the spotlight 🍂✨

Think: crunchy cruciferous veg, more root veggies, and those sweet seasonal favourites like figs, nashi pears and plums 🥦🍐

If you find yourself buying the same fruit + veg on repeat (we all do), the change of season is the perfect reminder to mix it up.

Seasonal variety = more diversity for your gut microbiota, which is one of the simplest ways to support digestion and overall health.

Produce in season is usually picked at its best (hello nutrients + phytochemicals) and often cheaper, too.

Save this as your go-to guide for autumn fruits + veggies in Australia 🌱

Food for the Soul 💫🕉️

Deepest gratitude to .space for hosting the most magnificent Yoga retreat last week.

Thank you also to all of the magnificent women who came together to practice & connect.

When women come together, magic happens 💛✨🧘🏽‍♀️

captures the retreat perfectly in her beautiful poem…

‘We came from places far and wide,
With stories hidden deep inside.
But here we found a common thread
A sisterhood where hearts are fed.
What once was void now feels complete,
In every soul I’ve come to meet.
I’m honoured, grateful.’
