On ANZAC Day, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and mateship of the ANZACs who served,
and those who continue to serve today.

At P2P, we reflect on the values that unite us: respect, resilience, and looking out for one another. Today, and every day, we honour those who gave so much so we could live in freedom.

We will remember them. 🌿

Lest we forget.

Before the sun rises, we gather in quiet reflection.

This Saturday, 25 April at 5:30am, 2nd Light Horse Regiment - Woombye Troop will hold an ANZAC Day service.

In the stillness of dawn, we honour the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of those who have served our country, past and present. It is a moment to stand together as a community, to remember their stories, and to ensure they are never forgotten.

Lest we forget. 🌺

Taum’s fishing day last week was one of those feel-good days that stick with you. ☀️🎣

Blue skies, sunshine on the water, a sausage sizzle sizzling away… and plenty of moments that really mattered. From shared laughs to quiet chats by the water, it was all about connection - being together, slowing down, and enjoying the day for what it was.

These are the moments that count 💛

Are you feeling lost in the mental health and education systems? You don't need to do this alone.

When a child or young person you care for is facing tough times, the 'system' can feel like a maze. Between health professionals, school meetings, and navigating support, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.

Our Finding Your Way workshop in Atherton is different. It’s 100% peer-led, meaning it is delivered by parents, carers, families and kin who have walked in your shoes and navigated similar barriers. 🤝⛰️

What we will explore together:
- Understand how mental health and education systems work and what support is available.
- Identify common barriers to getting help and how to navigate them.
- Learn tools and strategies to work well with professionals.
- Build confidence in sharing your story to ensure your needs are understood.
- Strengthen advocacy skills for you and your young person.
No jargon, no judgment - just real-life understanding and practical paths forward.

At its best, the NDIS transforms the lives of people who need it. As a government system, though, it is becoming increasingly expensive and prone to misuse.

Our hearts are so full 💛

Loud and Clear Qld recently celebrated a beautiful milestone with the launch of a new group in Gladstone, and some of our Sunshine Coast members were able to be there to share in the moment.

From the very beginning, the Gladstone crew welcomed everyone with open arms. There was such a genuine sense of excitement, pride and possibility in the room- it was something truly meaningful to be part of.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Together, we’re creating spaces where people with intellectual disability can be heard, valued and supported to speak up and advocate for themselves.

We can’t wait to continue this journey side by side, building stronger, more connected communities across Queensland. 💫
