What are your requirements when it comes to eye protection?

This is a short list of the common eye injuries. What eye injuries have you come across? I have had regular accidents with dust while using the ride-on mower, gardening, and cleaning. I don't think I am much more accident-prone than the next person, and I have had accidents happen to me. I do wear eye protection and sunglasses all of the time. What is your excuse?

Why can't you wear your normal glasses as safety glasses? They don't have impact-resistant lenses, side shields, and proper eye-socket coverage. So if this is what you are doing, your vision is worth better.
