Not a ‘be nice to everyone’ post. Well. Kind of.

Just maybe give people a bit of grace right now. 👇

He came home, looked at me and said ‘I’m f**ked.’ That was it.

Twenty minutes later he showed me his spreadsheet. 1:59 half marathon.

Seven minutes off his PB. On a random Tuesday while Jaxon was at kinder.

That’s just Tim. So proud of him. ❤️

This one’s personal.

Someone called me fat in front of the entire lunch room at work.

That was where it started.

The rest is in the video. 👇

Most people think they’re doing the right thing when they read a nutrition label.

They’re looking at calories, maybe the fat content, and calling it done.

The problem is that’s not where the useful information is.

The per 100 grams column, the protein relative to carbs and fat, the sugar line, the sodium, that’s what actually tells you what you’re eating.

The front of the packet is marketing.

The panel on the back is the truth.

Save this one and use it next time you’re at the supermarket. 💪

Walk down any supermarket aisle and everything has "high protein" on the front. Yoghurt, chips, pasta, chocolate bars - all of it suddenly a protein product. 👀

Here's the thing. "High protein" isn't a regulated claim in Australia. It doesn't mean what you think it means. A lot of these products have more carbs and fat than they do actual protein per serve, they're just higher than the original version of the product, which might have had almost none to begin with.

Check the nutrition panel on the back before you buy. Look at protein per 100 grams and compare it to the carbs and fat. The label on the front is selling you something. The panel on the back is telling you the truth.

Save this for next time you're in the supermarket. 💪

We put it to a vote. The people have spoken. 😅

This week’s question: What is Jaxon’s official job title at S&T STEPS?

Drop your answer below, we’ll put it to him directly and report back. 👇

Stacey and I have both dealt with anxiety and depression. Between that and my ADHD, we've had plenty of experience on both sides of this, being the ones struggling and being the ones trying to help.

The hardest thing about "I'm here if you need anything" is that when you're really in it, you can't reach out. You don't have the energy. You don't want to be a burden. You convince yourself everyone is busy. So you say you're fine and the moment passes and nothing changes.

What actually helps is specific. Not "how are you going" but "I'm getting coffee Saturday morning, come with me." Make it easy to say yes. Show up without making it a thing.

Check in again next week even if they seemed okay. And if they do open up, you don't have to fix anything. You just have to stay in the room and actually listen.

You don't need the right words. You just need to show up.

Protein powder gets either too much credit or not enough depending on who you ask. Here's the honest answer. 💪

It's not magic. It won't build muscle on its own and it's not a replacement for actually eating well. But if you're consistently struggling to hit your protein through food alone, busy schedule, appetite is low, meals keep falling short, it earns its place. That's what it's designed for. A supplement, not a substitute.

If you are using it, quality matters more than most people realise. A lot of products on the market aren't absorbed optimally by your body. Worth doing a bit of research rather than just grabbing whatever's cheapest or has the biggest marketing budget behind it.

Food first. Always. Supplement smart if you need to.
