Stay up to date with the MMR vaccine (Measles)

The MMR vaccine is a 2 vaccine schedule, usually administered at:
• 12-month OLD’s vaccination schedule (2 doses)
• 18-month OLD’s vaccination schedule (2 doses)
• Unvaccinated OR Travelling overseas (If you haven’t received the 2 doses of MMR)

Check your vaccination status online, simply log in to your MyGov account and select My Health Record.

NOTE: The MMR vaccine is government funded for:

1. All people born during or after 1966
Two doses of a measles-containing vaccine are recommended and funded. People who do not have documented evidence of receiving 2 doses of a measles containing vaccine are eligible and funded to receive these doses.
2. Infants travelling overseas or within Australia to areas where measles is endemic or outbreaks are occurring:
An additional early dose of a measles-containing vaccine for infants aged 6 to 11 months is recommended and funded, following an individual risk assessment by a healthcare provider. These infants still require two doses of measles-containing vaccine at the routine scheduled time points (12 and 18 months). Refer to AIH for further information.

Measles- Know the signs 🦠

Are you experiencing any of the below symptoms?
• Generalised, non-itchy maculopapular (morbilliform) rash that often begins on the face and neck
• Fever ≥38 degrees that is usually still present at the time of rash onset
• Cough, coryza, conjunctivitis and koplick spots on the buccal mucosa (salt grains on a red background).

If you have any of the below symptoms or are concerned you may have the measles virus, seek medical attention.

Footy Colours Day – September 2025 ⚽🏈

Health Hub Doctors Woorim are kicking goals for kids with cancer this September by wearing our favourite footy team colours!

Every year, more than 950 children and young people aged 0-19 are diagnosed with cancer in Australia. Thanks to generous Footy Colours Day supporters, the Fight Cancer Foundation helps to ease this burden by providing much-needed accommodation and support for people living with cancer and their families who must travel long distances to access life-saving treatment.

All funds raised help to fund vital accommodation, research and education for kids fighting cancer - and their families through Fight Cancer Foundation.
