Hi! I’m Emma-Lee, local mum and psychologist. Hailing originally from far north Queensland, I’m a country girl at heart, with a therapy style best described as warm and casual. I’ve been a registered psychologist for 14 years, practising across the lifespan with infants all the way through to older adults. In more recent years I’ve become a mum myself which has sparked my passion for perinatal mental health (from preconception to 3 years post birth). My own matrescence (journey into motherhood) has been a challenging ride so now I seek to use this lived experience to support others during these early years. If we work together my primary goal is truly understand your experience from your perspective, so I can help you create the path forward that feels aligned to your goals, hopes and dreams. To learn more about my professional training and background please check out my website Holdingher.com.au. I take a developmental, attachment, trauma informed and neurodiversity affirming approach to all my clinical work. I employ a range of evidence-based therapies systemically and eclectically including:
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
• Solutions Focused Brief Therapy
• Motivational Interviewing
• Mindfulness
• Compassion Focused Therapy
• EMDR
If you’d like to discuss how I could support you or a family member, please reach out to me via email at hello@holdingher.com.au. Take care Emma-Lee
