✨ Exciting Professional Update ✨

Our clinical director, Lisa, has been awarded dual endorsement in Clinical Psychology, alongside her existing endorsement in Educational & Developmental Psychology.

What this means for clients:
• Broader scope of practice
• Access to higher Medicare rebates
• Continued evidence-based, developmentally informed care across the lifespan

👁 Lisa is also commencing her EMDR training in February, expanding trauma-informed treatment options.👁

Good afternoon lovely families! Over an upcoming weekend, provisional psychologist Dom and Child and Adolescent Psychologist Lauren, are running a group workshop for boys aged 8-12 years to learn and practice psychoeducation and emotional regulation to support their wellbeing. This workshop will include practical tools and an interactive workbook that each person can take home with them.
💁‍♀️When: Saturday, 15th November
⏰ Time: 1.00pm - 2.30pm
😎 For: Boys aged 8-12 years old
🏠 Where: At The Happiness Project Psychology clinic
💲 Cost: $120.00 (Medicare rebate accessible: $46.75 - children with a Mental Health Plan can access up to 10 group therapy sessions in addition to their individual sessions, gap payment of $73.25. Both plan and self-managed NDIS clients can access group therapy sessions)
*Please note, as spaces are very limited, families that confirm attendance will be allocated in accordance with response time. There may be an opportunity to join another workshop if numbers exceed the spaces available.

When: Tuesday, 30th September
For: Children aged 5-11 years old
Time: 9.15am to 11.15am
Where: At The Happiness Project Psychology clinic
Cost: $120.00 (Medicare rebate accessible: $46.75 - children with a Mental Health Plan can access up to 10 group therapy sessions in addition to their individual sessions, gap payment of $73.25. Both plan and self-managed NDIS clients can access group therapy sessions)

Introducing the wonderful Emma! ✨
Emma joins us as one of our amazing provisional psychologists - currently in the process of completing her Masters. This also means you don’t need a GP referral or Mental Health Care Plan to see Emma.
Emma strives to provide a warm, genuine, and non-judgemental space where her clients can feel comfortable to share. She is motivated to provide personalised and evidence-based care centred on her clients to help them reach their goals.

Meet our two new Educational and Developmental registrars who you may have seen around the practice recently. Both Erin and Lauren graduated from a Masters of Educational and Developmental psychology and bring some extra warmth and brightness to our team. We are so excited for them to be part of the team and can't wait to continue to be a part of their journey as the year continues.

Hello lovely families, over the Easter school holidays Child and Adolescent Psychologist, Shannon Fleming, is running a group workshop to teach children aged 8-12years how to integrate mindfulness and wellness practices into their everyday lives. This is an experiential workshop and participants will have a workbook to take home.

When: Tuesday, 8th April
For: All children aged 8-12years old
Time: 9.30 to 11.30am
Where: At the clinic
Cost: $100 (rebate: $45.65 - children on mhcp can access 10 group therapy sessions in addition to their individual sessions, gap payment $54.35)

As Cyclone Alfred approaches, we thought we would share some valuable insights and resilience building techniques that can help us feel more at ease entering the next few days ⛈️

Thursday- Closed from 12pm onwards.
Friday- Closed until 12pm and will monitor whether afternoon sessions can ago ahead in person (otherwise will be available via Telehealth).
Saturday- Open unless otherwise communicated by clinicians while we monitor the weather.
