Stephanie is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a background in sports nutrition and performance-focused care 🍎🏋️‍♀️

She enjoys working with people who feel overwhelmed by nutrition advice or who have “tried everything” without success.

This includes active adults wanting to improve energy levels, strength, and recovery; athletes aiming to fuel training and competition; and NDIS participants working towards independence, confidence, and improved health outcomes.

She is particularly passionate about helping clients with performance nutrition, injury recovery support, gastrointestinal concerns, and building a healthy relationship with food — without restriction or confusion.

Stephanie is available for Dietitian appointments at Wynnum Sports and Spinal.

Hi, I’m Stephanie 👋

I'm an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a background in sports nutrition and performance-focused care.

I’ve recently completed my Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics and Sports Dietitians Course and have a particular interest in working with active individuals, athletes, and those wanting to optimise their health, body composition, and performance.

I especially enjoy supporting gymnasts and sporting populations, as well as clients navigating NDIS-related goals, injury recovery, and long-term health conditions. I take a practical, realistic approach to nutrition and love helping people build sustainable habits that fit their lifestyle.

Our team of Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists are here to help you move better, feel stronger, and perform at your best — in sport, work, and everyday life.

👉 Book a session this week and take a positive step towards your health.

Let’s keep the conversation going and support each other — because good health isn’t just physical, it’s everything.

Today is World COPD Day.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a leading global cause of death and disability. COPD is a common lung disease that may affect swallowing ability.

These include:
- Muscle weakness and fatigue associated difficulty exhaling all the air out of their lungs
- Prolonged eating and swallow transit time.
- Respiratory-swallow discoordination
- Residue in the pharynx post swallow
- Decreased sensation in the oral cavity, pharynx, and larynx

People with COPD who have dysphagia generally fail to recognize that they may have a swallowing impairment. Instead, they tend to think that coughing or shortness of breath during oral intake is a symptom of COPD.

A Speech Pathologist can offer strategies and recommendations for people with COPD.

Welcome to Women's health Week 2025!

This year's theme is "Say yes to you" and our pelvic health physio's think that is very fitting, because for a lot of our patients, coming to a Women's Health appointment is a step towards putting themselves first for once. Many pelvic conditions aren't emergencies; often women think it's just part of having babies, or have been living with issues for years... but that doesn't mean you have to keep putting up with it

So, why not say yes to you, and book a Women's Health Physio session today!

If you haven't already, we highly recommend checking out the Jean Hailes website for all the fabulous content this womens health week.

How can a dietitian help after Stroke?
- Assess nutritional needs and address symptoms (such as reduce appetite, poor food intake) or physical limitation as a result of stroke (compromised fine motor skills). This is to ensure the person is meeting their nutritional for optimal recovery and prevention of furthering chronic conditions (e.g. Diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc.)

- Collaborating with Speech Pathologist to tailor dietary strategies to support individuals with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) by recommending appropriate food and fluid consistencies in collaboration with speech pathologists.

- Offer education on heart-healthy eating, focusing on reducing salt, sugar, and saturated fat intake to manage blood pressure, cholesterol, and reduce the risk of another stroke.

- Monitor nutritional status over time, especially if there is ongoing weight loss, malnutrition risk, or challenges with food access or intake.
