What is Starr Light Yoga Net-Flex? I work with organisations and individuals to create happy, healthy, balanced, productive people. My Mindfulness Insight Training program and Net-Flex on demand library give the people the tools to increase productivity, performance, and live a healthy, happy fulfilled personal and professional life. In 2019 my daughter was diagnosed with a 2.5cm hole in her heart. Our family had to wait 9 months before she was operated on and fixed due to the pandemic. This scenario created chronic stress and anxiety for our entire family. I already had over 10 years of yoga teaching experience and none of that mattered. It was only after the situation was resolved, and I began to study the relationship between yoga/mediation/sound therapy and Psychology. that I began to understand how to manage stress and anxiety properly. I know and understand the challenges high-achieving people face both at work and at home. I am passionate about giving individuals and organisations the tools to live well, and understand their own optimal physical and mental heath.

We’ll be working with her energy to invite in softness, flow, and all forms of abundance.

Hi yogis,

I know I’ve been very quiet on the yoga teaching front. The last year in pathology has been huge in terms of my job, and I’m really enjoying it, and love practicing yoga as a student. Tuesday morning yin with has been lovely.

For the last little while I’ve been working on a different side project… if you know me personally, you know I love op shopping and thrifting. For over 15 years, I’ve been treasure-hunting through racks and markets all across the globe, finding those one-of-a-kind pieces with stories to tell, as well as many of my basic classic gems.

After years of collecting, curating, and sharing finds with friends, I figured it was time to share the love more widely — and so, a little online thrift store is being born! 💕

🌏 Vietnam Bound for a Quick Adventure! 🇻🇳

Before heading to Malaysia at the end of the month to teach yoga at Club Med, I’m off to Vietnam for a few days of exploring, culture, and (of course) amazing food! 🍜✨ I absolutely love visiting new countries, immersing myself in different cultures, and trying new flavours.

I’ll do my best to share some of our experiences along the way. Can’t wait to soak in the beauty of Vietnam before diving into a week of yoga in paradise! 🌿

I am beyond excited to share that I’ll be heading to Club Med Malaysia for a week to teach yoga in the most beautiful, lush setting! 🌴✨ There’s something truly magical about being surrounded by nature and next to the ocean while guiding others through mindful movement and breathwork. I can’t wait to immerse myself in this experience and share my practice with an amazing group of yogis.

🌿 How Teaching Yoga Changed My Life 🌿

Had you asked me when I was 25 what I expected to be doing for work at the age of 40, never in a million years did I think it would be teaching yoga. Becoming a yoga teacher completely changed the course of my life. It gave me permission to slow down, breathe deeply, and truly connect with myself in ways I hadn’t before.

Through teaching, I’ve learned the profound impact of breathwork and how being aware of my nervous system can bring peace, calm, and presence. It forced me to live in the now, to let go of the noise, and to accept myself exactly as I am.

Despite not teaching as many classes as I have in the past, I am so grateful to still be practicing and teaching regularly.

Yoga really isn’t just about the poses—it’s about cultivating self-awareness and embracing who we are, flaws and all, and this is important at any age, but vital once we hit 40 in my opinion. Teaching has made me a better version of myself, and for that, I am deeply grateful.
