Well I have officially completed all the requirements to be an EMDR therapist. Many hours of study. This therapy modality continues to blow my mind how it effective it is. Now, do I do the next part and become Accredited????

Sunday morning attending to the horses before it gets warm.
I have been driving family around and listening to Podcasts on EMDR and continue to build skills to assist people in meeting therapeutic goals. I still get amazed how integrating this therapeutic modality has been so healing for people.

Astro has a quirky personality that is not typical of many other horses. But he is not judged but is totally accepted for who he is by his herd and human participants. He has his special way of being supportive and therapeutic during sessions and always is the first to show up for therapy.

Equine Assisted Therapy is one of the therapeutic modalities offered at Absolute Minds. Cognitive Behavioural therapy, EMDR and general counselling are also offered. Therapy at Absolute Minds is as unique as each individual. Mental Health Therapy is developed for each individual. No cookies cutter “plans” as you work towards your goals.

I have had to cancel last 2 clients as unsafe with the strong winds. “Great I will catch up on reports and letters”. Walk inside and no power 🤦‍♀️.
Wind blew over the chick hutch. Luck no babies were in it. It will need some repairs 😫

Buster is the master of sleeping as he has no (known) unprocessed trauma.

I wanted to share a recent experience. It was powerful for me, more so my client. I sat and heard their story how childhood bullying was impacting this person significantly in their adult life relationships. With EMDR we processed: minimal words, holding space and EMDR protocol this trauma no longer has pain, the memories are lighter and current relationships have new insights.

This was not just profound for my client it was for me as well. I feel hope, love and honoured being able to help others.

I hope that with this support we can all sleep like Buster ❤️
