💚 Our Organisational Culture
At Free Rein Wellbeing and our sister organisation Free Rein Adventure, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
We believe that the quality of the experiences we offer begins with the quality of the culture we create together.
Our team culture is grounded in connection, reflection, and shared values. We work collaboratively, supportively, and with genuine care for one another. Every staff member — from directors, counsellors, psychotherapists to facilitators, support workers, animal co-facilitators to maintenance and animal support staff — is valued equally as part of the herd.
We encourage open communication, creativity, and curiosity. We recognise that our best work happens when people feel psychologically safe, supported, and free to bring their authentic selves to the team.
We celebrate diversity, personal growth, and integrity — understanding that the same relational principles we apply in our therapeutic work also guide how we treat one another.
We are reflective practitioners who prioritise:
• 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽 Mutual respect and inclusion — everyone’s voice matters
• 🌱 Ongoing learning and supervision — growth is continuous
• 💬 Honest, compassionate communication — feedback is shared openly
• 🔥 Collaboration and creativity — ideas are welcomed and explored
• 🌿 Balance and wellbeing — we care for ourselves and each other as we care for our clients
Whether we’re holding space in the paddock, in the therapy room, or out in nature, our team leads with empathy, integrity, and a shared commitment to growth — for our clients, our organisation, and ourselves.

🌿 Our Culture at Free Rein Wellbeing & Free Rein Adventure
At Free Rein, our people are the heart of everything we do.
Whether through therapy, recreation, or adventure, we’re united by a shared purpose — to create spaces where people feel safe, seen, and supported to grow.
Our organisational culture is grounded in authentic connection, ethical practice, reflection, and collaboration.
We believe that the quality of our client experiences begins with the quality of our team relationships — built on trust, open communication, and mutual respect.
We operate as a values-driven community, not a hierarchy. Every team member — from counsellors and facilitators to support staff and the maintenance team — is equally valued for the unique skills, insights, and lived experiences they bring.
We approach our work with curiosity rather than judgment, and we model the same principles we encourage in our clients: awareness, empathy, courage, and self-reflection.
Across both Free Rein Wellbeing and Free Rein Adventure, we foster:
• 🌱 Psychological safety — a culture of openness where ideas, feedback, and personal growth are welcomed.
• 🤝 Collaboration over competition — we work as a herd, supporting one another to achieve collective outcomes.
• 🧭 Reflective practice and supervision — encouraging self-awareness and professional development as foundations of ethical work.
• 🧘 Workplace wellbeing — we recognise that caring for others starts with caring for ourselves.
• 🌄 Innovation and creativity — space to design, adapt, and deliver programs that are meaningful, inclusive, and fun.
At Free Rein, we’re more than a workplace — we’re a community of helpers, dreamers, and doers who believe in the power of connection, nature, and purpose to change lives.
