Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2024 is a worldwide initiative which aims to challenge misconceptions and take the opportunity to recognise the many talents and strengths of our neurodivergent community.

Did you know that neurodiversity is an umbrella term to describe alternative thinking styles such as autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Tourette’s Syndrome and ADHD? Neurodiversity is about recognising and respecting all thinking styles. Different thinkers have different perceptions and ideas contributing to our preschools, schools, workplaces and communities in many positive ways.

Neurodiversity is the umbrella term for many conditions in which the brain is wired and processes information differently. (The above is not an exhaustive list).
Instead of labelling people as with deficits or disorders, the term neurodiversity presents a balanced view of an individual's unique strengths and challenges.
