Community outreach support this week – Delamere & Cape Jervis

If you’ve been impacted by the Deep Creek Bushfires (or know someone who has), free outreach support will be available in Delamere and Cape Jervis this week.

Local services will be on-site, offering wellbeing support, recovery assistance and free legal information.

📍 Delamere: Tuesday 17 February, 10 am – 3 pm
📍 Cape Jervis: Thursday 19 February, 2 pm – 6 pm

✅ No appointments required.

Appointments are also available on Fridays at the Yankalilla Library by calling 1300 850 650.

Australian Red Cross – drop-in sessions

The Australian Red Cross will be holding drop-in sessions offering support and wellbeing check-ins to people impacted by the Deep Creek Bushfire.

Sessions will be held daily from Tuesday 10 February to Saturday 14 February at:

✅10 am to 1 pm - Delamere St James Church, 8495 Main South Road

✅2 pm to 6 pm - Cape Jervis Community Club, end of Ransford Street

If you are unable to attend and would like someone to talk to, you can register for a call back from the Australian Red Cross by completing the registration form at: https://bit.ly/060226Deep_Creek_Fires_AustralianRedCross

Once registered, a member of the Australian Red Cross team will phone you between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday to Saturday, to offer psychosocial support and check in on your wellbeing.

Deep Creek Fire - Wellbeing Support

The Deep Creek Fire is affecting local individuals, families, and the wider community in many different ways. If you have been, or are feeling affected, and would like someone to talk to, you can register for a call back from the Australian Red Cross by completing the SA Deep Creek Fires - Register for Wellbeing Support registration form.

Once registered, a member of the Australian Red Cross team will phone you between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Saturday, to offer psychosocial support and check in on your wellbeing.

The Australian Red Cross will also work closely with Council and community engagement teams to ensure relevant support can be best coordinated across the area.

Deep Creek Fire – Community information session (Yankalilla)

The SA Country Fire Service (CFS), with partner agencies, is holding a community information session to share the latest updates on the Deep Creek fire and answer community questions.

This session will be held in Yankalilla and will be led by Incident Controller Cameron Leary, with partner agencies in attendance.

Time: 12.30 pm, Friday 6 February 2026
Where: Yankalilla Football Club, 104A Main South Road, Yankalilla SA 5203

What to expect:
