Sometimes, when a baby is born, a mother pauses.
Not from fear. Not from disconnection.
But because birth is big. Expansive. Transformational.
This beautiful mama welcomed her baby at home, surrounded by her husband and her team, and took a moment before reaching for her little one. And that pause? It’s normal. It’s powerful. It’s sacred.
Birth unfolds in its own rhythm. 💛

From the midwife ❤️

“Birth is a very intelligent and wise design, meant to happen as if no one were there and tends to work best when undisturbed. Midwives have known this since the beginning.

But in those moments when we are truly needed, may we respond intuitively and without hesitation. May we trust our humble hands, our mouths to clear pathways and even give our own breath for inspiration.

May we all be fortunate enough to help as many people as we can, before leaving this precious Earth.”

This birth holds so much meaning.

This was this birthing mother’s redemption birth. Three years ago, her first birth began as a planned home birth but ended in an emergency C-section at the hospital. As you can imagine, that experience carried deep trauma for her.

I had the honor of being with her then, at her home and later at the hospital, standing alongside her and her husband as their plans changed in ways none of us expected.

So to witness this birth… uninterrupted, undisturbed, and unfolding in the way she always hoped… was powerful beyond words. The difference between her two birth experiences is truly a world apart.

It was healing. It was redemptive. And it was an absolute honor to be present for both chapters of her story.

🌸 This beautiful, healthy placenta was born in the early hours this morning, belonging to my incredible client who brought her gorgeous boy earthside—on her terms, in her power.

42+3 VBAC 💥
She stood strong in the face of pressure to induce, trusted her body, and birthed with such courage and clarity.

I’m still in awe that this is my job. What an absolute honor to walk alongside women like this.
