Hey hey! It's 2026, can you believe it!?

Tomorrow will be our first session of 2026 at FCP. 9.30-11.30 am, and continue every Thursday of the school term.

PlayConnect+ is a free playgroup for children under 8yo with a suspected or diagnosed disability. You do not need to have NDIS funding, formal diagnosis, or a health care card. Siblings are welcome to attend.

🙋‍♀️ Are you an autistic woman aged 15–24 in Jimboomba, Beaudesert, or Flagstone? We want to hear from you!

We're looking to learn from your real experiences and honest perspectives on friendships, social connection, and community—what works, what doesn't, and what truly matters to you!

🥰 Small & comfortable sessions (just 8 people) to share and feel heard.
🤝 Facilitated by autistic women: creating a safe, supportive space.
💰 Your time is valued: eligible participants will receive $50.

We will be holding 3 sessions across Jimboomba, Beaudesert, and Flagstone to be held in late September (exact venue to be confirmed after application), and one online session TBD in 2026. Choose a session that works best for you! Come along to share your thoughts, ideas, and experiences. Light refreshments will be provided at face-to-face sessions.

🏥 All our hospitals remain open for emergency care.

🔵 Eight Mile Plains Satellite Health Centre – is reopen from 1pm Saturday 8 March and closing at 10pm. The Minor Injury and Illness Clinic will continue to operate from 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week from tomorrow, Sunday 9 March.

If you need to come to hospital in an emergency, please bring any regular medications with you.

Due to the changing timeline of the severe weather impacts, the closure of some of our community facilities has been extended.

The following provides a summary of current closures dates:

🔵Redlands Satellite Health Centre – closed from Friday 7 March to Sunday 9 March inclusive
🔵Wynnum-Manly Primary Care Clinic (Gundu Pa) – closed from Friday 7 March to Sunday 9 March inclusive
🔵Mt Gravatt Nurse Led Walk-in Clinic – closed from Friday 7 March to Sunday 9 March inclusive
🔵Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence, Inala – closed Friday 7 March
🔵Logan Crisis Support Space and Redland Crisis Support Space – closed from Friday 7 March to Sunday 9 March inclusive
🔵community health centres at Beenleigh, Browns Plains, Eight Mile Plains, Inala, Logan Central and Woolloongabba – closed Friday 7 March.

Disaster assistance has been activated for 12 SEQ councils as Tropical Cyclone Alfred approaches 🌀

This includes Brisbane, Fraser Coast, Gold Coast, Gympie, Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay, Noosa, Redland, Scenic Rim, Somerset, and Sunshine Coast.

Eligible councils can now access financial support to help communities prepare, respond and recover. This includes sandbagging, evacuations, debris removal, and emergency road repairs.

Provided through joint Commonwealth-state Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA), this assistance will help impacted communities bounce back sooner.
