6 Horses in Tarot from an Animist Perspective
Presented by Di Day

This presentation delves into the rich symbolism of six horses in Tarot from an animist perspective, highlighting their spiritual significance and cultural meanings across various traditions. Each horse—represented by the Knight of Wands, Knight of Cups, Knight of Swords, Knight of Pentacles,The Sun and Death—embodies distinct energies and characteristics tied to elemental correspondences and directions. Participants will explore how the symbolism of these horses varies across cultures, including insights from Native American, Celtic, Mongolian, and Asian traditions—each emphasising the horse’s role as a powerful spirit and guide on life’s journey. The presentation encourages individuals to engage with these energies through Tarot readings, fostering personal growth and deeper connections to the universal themes represented by the horses. By understanding these associations, participants will enrich their Tarot practice and enhance their spiritual exploration.

Upcoming in March Liz Dean will present an online zoom on Reading the language of the Rider Waite Smith Tarot.

Reading the Language of the Hands in the Rider Waite Smith explores hand gestures as story: decode the hands, and you add new depth to your card interpretations – wherever you are in your tarot journey.

We’ll first look at open and closed hand positions (the nature of grip or release) in the Aces, then trace hands across the deck that speak of willpower, defence, receiving or blessing – from the manifest intention of the Magician to benediction of the Hierophant.

Although hands may take up a small area of a card, their influence is dynamic and even hidden or tucked-away hands, as in the free-fall Hanged Man or resistant Four of Cups, offer a focus for interpretation.

The Art of Reading a Tarot Spread
Presented by Doreen Van Boxtel Sunz 'n' Moonz Oracle

Tarot spreads are an arrangement of Tarot cards used during a Tarot reading to gain insight into a situation that is important to yourself or your client.

Each spread has a unique pattern and purpose.

The cards in their “positions” of a spread give you “guidance” in the reading. Tarot Spreads link the cards together to tell a story. Telling a story is an important part of every Tarot Reading.

Please bring your tarot deck and a notepad.
