𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘁, 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸, 𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝘂𝘁 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻 — 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲?
“Cutting down” or “taking a break” gives your mind permission to return to how things were.
But if where you were was such a great place…
why are you cutting down or taking a break in the first place?
If it was truly working for you — if it was great for your health, your relationships, your mindset, your mornings — you wouldn’t feel the need to step away from it.
You wouldn’t say:
“I love this. It’s amazing for my body and mind. It improves my relationships. I feel fantastic the next day… but I might take a break from it.”
The real reason most people don’t quit usually comes down to this:
I’m afraid to.
I’ll miss out.
I won’t have fun.
People will judge me.
I might fail.
Quitting forever, however, is different.
It’s saying:
“This no longer works for me. I cannot keep going as I am. Something has to change.”
Speaking from experience…
14 years ago, I came to the conclusion that alcohol was creating more harm than good in my life.
If I was truly honest with myself, the so-called benefits — confidence, social ease, fitting in — never outweighed the negative and sometimes damaging effects.
So what is life like without alcohol?
Liberating
Freedom
No hangovers
No alcohol-related regrets
No hurting others
Stress-free RBTs
Increased savings
Instant weight loss
No longer controlled by something outside of me
And socially?
I became entertained by observing what I used to be part of. I watched how alcohol changed people — how it lowered confidence rather than raised it. Some became louder, some aggressive, some withdrawn, some sloppy. I saw clearly what I once couldn’t.
My biggest barrier?
Fear.
Fear of missing out.
Fear of not having fun.
Fear of being judged.
Fear of failing publicly.
Fear of being excluded or hassled.
Fear of the unknown.
And yes — occasionally I did experience some of that.
But often, the loudest critics are the ones who secretly wish they had the courage to do the same.
If you’re worried about cutting alcohol out of your life, based on my experience…
I would be more concerned about keeping it in.
When you truly quit — not “try,” not “cut back,” not “take a break” — but quit…
Something powerful happens.
You no longer rely on willpower.
You no longer feel deprived.
You no longer desire it — even if you once liked the taste or the effects.
That’s when the real magic happens.
If you’re ready to quit, I can help make that journey easier through hypnotherapy — so the desire simply isn’t there anymore.
And yes… you can have that freedom too. For as little as $80 often 1 session is all it takes!
