We have had our 5th week of Bush School. Cooking their own damper on a stick over a camp fire was one of the highlights. Learning about the effective ways to arrange and start a fire was fun for all. Compasses were introduced for the first time. The interactions with the new piglets and the baby chicks was also very enjoyable. We look forward to more fun learning next session.....

Bush School at Gracemere Farmstead is full steam ahead. We had our 3rd session last week. Children enjoyed consolidating their knot tying and lashing skills to make a tripod, enjoyed sit spot nature reflection, a nature treasure hunt, an opportunity to ride a donkey and more! Enjoying all things bush and nature!! Can't wait for next week.....

Bush School @ Gracemere Farmstead is up and running. We have had two Monday sessions already!! We have been enjoying a wide range of outdoor activities and learning many skills. It's not too late to join us. We can work out payment pro-rata. Please call or text Stephen on 0430912612.

Our Bush School is up and running! We had our first session last week with a group of very keen children and some parents as well. We enjoyed "sit spot" time where we all enjoyed observing nature with our senses. We had interactions with some of the farm animals including the newest baby lamb and the adorable pigs. Searching for animal foot prints was so much fun as was learning some basic mapping skills. Learning how to tie a clove hitch with rope was enjoyable too.

We just had two excellent days of Summer Fun @ The Farmstead with children enjoying a wide range of activities. On Thursday children were engaged in real life farm tasks collecting eggs, moving and feeding the hungry pigs and meat chickens. We also had some fun games and a farm mega challenge. Today we learned about some of the aspects of permaculture. Children made their own wicking pots, mini food garden and a "seed bomb". Lots of fun for all who came.
