Spring is in full swing! 🌾🌸 Asthma flare-ups can increase due to high pollen counts, in conjunction with thunderstorm-related weather conditions. Stay connected with your GP and pharmacist, remember to take your regular medications and talk to your GP about an Asthma Action Plan.

Today is World Stroke Day, and we’re helping spread the word on the F.A.S.T. signs of stroke:

Face – Has their mouth drooped?
Arms – Can they lift both arms?
Speech – Is their speech slurred or confused?
Time – Call 000 immediately.

Please take a moment to learn the signs, share them with loved ones, and help save lives!

The Doctors and Staff of the Young District Medical Centre would like to extend their deepest sympathies to the family of the late Dr Michael J Mullany OAM.

Dr Mullany was a highly respected and valued member of the medical community in Young. From the beginnings of his practice in 1957 through to his retirement in his 80s, he cared for generations of local families.

His dedication and contribution to health care played an integral part in what is the Young District Medical Centre today.
