๐Ÿฅฃ Making their own snack โ€” practising hand strength, sequencing, and kitchen safety while spreading, pouring, and cleaning up.
๐Ÿ‘• Working on dressing skills โ€” zipping, buttoning, and learning clothing independence with encouragement and adaptive strategies.
๐Ÿงผ Building hygiene habits โ€” brushing teeth, washing hands, or learning shower routines with sensory supports.
๐Ÿงน Pitching in with chores โ€” wiping tables, packing lunch boxes, or folding towels to grow motor planning and confidence.

Each activity is purposeful , goal oriented & guided by our OTs to strengthen fine-motor control, executive function, and self-esteem. ๐ŸŒˆ

My previous employment history, in community and disability employment services, inspired me to further develop my skills and knowledge through gaining a formal education in occupational therapy. I was fortunate enough to find an organisation and work with a team that shared my passion, curiosity and thirst for knowledge. Itโ€™s hard to pick one thing I enjoy most about CCOTS, however my top three would be the team I work with, the well-resourced facilities and all the wonderful families I have the privilege of working with.

Supporting clients and families to feel heard is essential. I have seen firsthand how this can foster safety and connection, creating a space where growth, change and trust make all things possible happen.

I am an advocate for creating work/life balance. I am blessed to work for an organisation that also holds those values. When I am not working, Iโ€™m spending quality time with my daughter, adventuring around our beautiful region. You will also find me attending a Pilates class or with my head in a book, usually reading something OT related.
