“Butterfly Meditation”
In our Moving Meditations we use nature as a source of inspiration for our mindfulness practice. The spiritual meaning of the butterfly is about transformation, rebirth, and personal growth. It represents a journey of self-discovery, the ability to change and evolve. Butterflies symbolize freedom, lightness, and joy, reminding us to let go of burdens and embrace a sense of liberation.
To do the butterfly meditation:
🦋 Find a comfortable position
🦋 Quiet down the breath
🦋 Close your eyes
🦋 Imagine a butterfly
🦋 Look at the color, size and movements
🦋 Open your hands in front of the chest
🦋 Imagine you catch a butterfly in your hands
🦋 Cross your wrists
🦋 Touch your Heart, like a hug
🦋 Your hands are the wings of the butterfly
🦋 Move your hands gently and touch the chest
🦋 Practice Long, Slow, Deep breathing
🦋 In through the nose, our through the mouth
🦋 Your affirmation: I am beautiful, free, light
🦋 Repeat as long as you feel joy
🦋 At the end release the butterfly
🦋 Open your eyes
